NKPJ: Projection of the Movie “NICOLAS–THE ORIGIN”

On the 3rd of February 2026, exactly one month after the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores, the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia organized a projection of the movie “Nicolas – The Origin”, as a part of the international #BringThemBack campaign. The projection was organized with an aim to honor a trade union leader, revolutionary, and president who maintains direct contact with the people and the working class which he descends from, who steadfastly defends independence, socialism, and freedom of his country, and who was abducted and imprisoned during the U.S. invasion.

On this occasion, the guest of the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia was the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Comrade Jajdis Briceño.

The First Secretary of SKOJ, comrade Miloš Karavezić, addressed the audience on behalf of SKOJ, emphasizing that mobilizations in support of Nicolás Maduro will continue, as well as calling all participants to support the struggle for the return of President Maduro and the First Lady to Venezuela. Afterwards, Ambassador Briceño addressed the audience, thanking NKPJ and SKOJ for their continuous solidarity and support. She stressed that she encountered special understanding in Serbia, given the fact that our country was also exposed to aggression and bombing by NATO and the United States of America.

At the end of the event, the General Secretary of NKPJ, Comrade Aleksandar Banjanac, presented the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with NKPJ’s calendar for this year, thematically dedicated to anti-imperialist leaders, including President Nicolás Maduro.

As part of the #BringThemBack campaign, our activists from Montenegro also joined the international solidarity campaign in Podgorica.

In the coming days, the public will be informed about the projection of the second part of the movie “Nicolas.”
