Turkish Revolutionaries Visit Venezuelan Consulate in Istanbul

A month has passed since the US abducted Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores in an operation that violated all international laws. In Istanbul, revolutionaries from the Struggle Unity, Kaldıraç, Odak, DKDER, DÖB, and EKA visited the Venezuelan Consulate in Istanbul on February 3rd with a representative delegation to express solidarity with the Venezuelan people and issued a press statement.

The revolutionaries, welcomed by Venezuelan Consul Lissett Margarita Hernandez Marquez, expressed their solidarity with the Venezuelan people through the Consul, who also summarized their current situation. Consul Hernandez expressed her pleasure at seeing the young revolutionaries and socialists, stating that the future was promising thanks to them. The young people, in turn, spoke about the revolutionary values of Fidel and Chavez, once again emphasizing their support for the Venezuelan people against imperialist attacks.

The Working Women’s Association drew attention to the situation of Elif Yaş, a revolutionary who has been imprisoned for 31 years , and stated that as a female revolutionary in prison, she wanted to send a postcard to Cilia, a female revolutionary currently imprisoned in US prisons, and mentioned that there was a channel to send letters to Consul Hernandez Maduro and Cilia.

After a conversation lasting nearly an hour, they moved to the front of the building housing the Consulate, where a group photograph was taken and a statement was made with the participation of the Consul. During the statement, which featured a banner reading “The American People Will Be Defeated, the Venezuelan People Will Win,” a representative from Odak gave a speech, saying, “We, as those who defend the unity of peoples against imperialist aggression, the anti-imperialist struggle of citizens, peoples, and revolutionaries, want to reiterate that we will always stand side-by-side against imperialism, Zionism, US aggression, and Western aggression, and that we will show solidarity with the Venezuelan people and all resisting anti-imperialist peoples. Resisting Peoples Will Win! The Venezuelan People Will Win! “

The statement concluded with the slogans “El Pueblo, Unido Jamas Sera Vencido” (The People, United, Will Never Be Victorious) .

No force can defeat an organized people !
