For weeks, even months, the attack that had been looming finally came. Imperialist America, together with its Zionist Israeli lapdog, attacked Iran.
This is an imperialist attack; this is an imperialist war. That is, it is a war launched by an imperialist state to force another state that refuses to submit, bow down, or kneel before it to submit, kneel, and bow down. This is an indisputable concrete reality.
This is a war aimed at intimidating the world’s working class, laborers, and oppressed peoples; at opening the door to a process of open wars of occupation to be launched with the aim of annexing new territories to US territory.
The stated aim of imperialist America and its small sidekick, “to prevent Iran’s nuclear weapons development program,” is a pretext. The aim is to take the global civil war they have waged so far, but which has been met with rebellion and uprisings, to a new stage. The main feature of this new stage is political annexation, including full economic subjugation.
In his January 2025 inauguration speech, Trump clearly stated this goal with the following words:
“The time has come for us to act once again with the courage, vitality, and liveliness of the greatest civilization in history… The United States will once again see itself as a nation that grows, increases its wealth, expands its territory, builds its cities, raises its expectations, and carries our flag to new and beautiful horizons.”
“Expanding territory”! In clearer terms, bringing back the ‘colonialism’ system that was shelved in the dusty archives of history decades ago. Trump’s “dream” is completed by the US Secretary of State, himself an immigrant from Latin America, in his speech at the Munich Conference:
“Europe’s great cultural treasures, built on the exploitation of colonies, herald the wonders that await us in the future. Only if we do not apologize for our heritage and take pride in this common legacy can we jointly embark on the task of imagining and determining our economic and political future.”
Such are their “dreams”. They have made their dreams their goal; their current aggression stems from this. But it is in vain. Neither their dreams nor their goals will be realized! History does not repeat itself. History always flows forward in a spiral line. History is flowing towards the destruction of the capitalist mode of production, the imperialist-capitalist system. No power, no aggression can prevent this; it will not be able to!
Yesterday Venezuela, today Iran, tomorrow who knows who they will set their sights on. But this is certain: imperialist aggression, especially that of the US and its lackey, Zionist Israel, will not stop until they are destroyed.
Stopping this depends on the struggle of the world’s working class, the labouring and oppressed peoples, the socialist countries, and the revolutionary communist forces. Stopping the US and other imperialist powers depends on the international solidarity and unity of these forces and the power that will arise from this.
It is time to take action against US imperialism and Zionist Israel. The fundamental task now for the working class, laborers, and oppressed peoples of Turkey and Kurdistan is to engage in the struggle against imperialism and Zionism without falling into the orbit of the reactionary Iranian regime and without abandoning their own independent class interests.
This is our call to the Iranian working class, too! The Iranian working class, laborers, oppressed peoples, and poor masses must take up the struggle against US imperialism and Zionist Israel, without falling into the reserve of the religious/reactionary regime, protecting their own independent class interests.
The fundamental issue now is to repel the aggression of the US and Zionist Israel. It is to prevent the imperialist monster from defiling Iranian soil. Because a “victory” for US and Zionist aggression will open the doors for them to attack the world working class, the working and oppressed, exploited peoples; socialist countries, starting with Cuba; it will give them the necessary morale and courage for this attack.
Let us not allow this! Let us take action in Turkey and Kurdistan. Let us show that we stand in international solidarity with the Iranian working class, the laboring and oppressed peoples, and the communist and revolutionary forces.
