CPA Statement on the Aggression Against Iran

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia expresses its deep sorrow over the events in Iran, which have caused numerous civilian casualties.

We learned with great sorrow about the death of Iranian schoolgirls. There can be nothing more criminal than the murder of children. We strongly condemn any action that leads to the death of innocent children. The Communist Party of Armenia expresses its condolences to the families of the victims, their loved ones, and the entire fraternal Iranian people. We support the demand for a fair investigation into these tragic incidents.

Following the developments in Iran, we are forced to once again acknowledge the destructive role of the United States of America and its satellites. The tragic events in Iran are taking place against the backdrop of increasing external pressure and attempts to destabilize the country. We reaffirm our categorical distrust of the United States and its accomplices. It is obvious that Washington and its allies, under the guise of human rights, are pursuing purely selfish geopolitical goals: to weaken Iran as a regional power and carry out a “color revolution.” As we have previously warned, the document signed between the Armenian authorities and the United States is openly anti-Iranian. We see how Western powers are trying to exploit any tragedy to incite discord and chaos.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is a friendly country for Armenia and our strategic partner. We have a common border and a centuries-old history of good neighborliness. Instability in Iran poses a direct threat to Armenia’s security and economy. We call on the Armenian authorities not to succumb to external provocations and to refrain from any steps that could be interpreted as participation in an anti-Iranian campaign. In these difficult times, we must show solidarity with the Iranian people.

The CPA calls on the international community to give an objective assessment of the current situation, prevent interference in Iran’s internal affairs, and stop civilian casualties. We declare loudly and unequivocally: the war must end. Any military conflict brings only death, destruction, and further suffering. It is unacceptable for external actors to push the region to the brink of a major war. The blood of the Iranian people should not be shed at the behest of anyone. We call on all parties to refrain from escalating the situation and resolve all disputes exclusively through peaceful, diplomatic means. Iran, Armenia, and all the peoples of the region need peace.

No to war. No to imperialism.
