On March 7, the Anti-US Struggle Headquarters, the 21st Century Che Guevara (Defense Brigade), and the People’s Democracy Party (PDP) held an anti-imperialist and anti-fascist party rally in front of the US Embassy in the ‘Republic of Korea (the ‘ROK’)’ under the slogan: “Immediately Cease the Invasion of Iran! Overthrow Imperialism, the Culprit of the West Asian War!”
The moderator opened the rally stating: “On the other side of the globe in Iran, a war of aggression and massacre by imperialist USA and Zionist Israel is unfolding. Iran’s resistance is a legitimate right to self-defense against acts of aggression. The war in Iran is not an end, but a new signal flare toward World War 3. Let us unite with the people of the world through a righteous international solidarity for anti-imperialist and anti-US struggle, rising up to overthrow US imperialism and hasten a new world of independence and peace.”
Participants vigorously chanted: “USA and Israel, Immediately Cease the Invasion of Iran!”, “Overthrow US Imperialism, the Culprit of the West Asian War!”, “Overthrow US Imperialism, the Trigger of World War 3!”, and “International Solidarity for Anti-Imperialist Struggle, Overthrow US Imperialism!”
The Standing Representative of the the Anti-US Struggle Headquarters pointed out: “US imperialism has finally begun another frenzy. Alongside Israel, it is racing forward, vowing to turn Iran into ruins. This invasion goes beyond a mere military attack; it includes despicable maneuvers to divide Iran from within by inciting Kurds to wage a proxy war. Just as the USA once oppressed nationalists in our country by labeling them ‘Reds’ within a fabricated framework of ‘progressives vs conservatives,’ it is now attempting to sow ethnic division in Iran. However, Iran will never collapse easily.”
He added: “Conscientious journalists warn that this war will lead to the final downfall of the USA. US bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia are being struck by Iranian missiles, and bases built with trillions of wons are vanishing like smoke. The USA is now even pushing fighter jets from the Pyeongtaek base into the battlefield. In this critical situation where our own military might be dragged in, we must not view the Iran war as someone else’s business. We must fight together with our conscience.”
Han Myung-hee, Representative of the PDP, emphasized: “USA and Israel must stop the war on Iran immediately. Not a single justification the USA puts forward is legitimate. They claim ‘regime change,’ but attacking a nation for such a purpose is not justified under international law. Military action to prevent ‘massacres’ requires UN approval. While they claim to end Iran’s ballistic missile program and prevent nuclear development, the IAEA stated as recently as March 3—even as US airstrikes continued—that there is no evidence of Iran developing nuclear weapons. None of the objectives provided by the USA serve as a valid justification for war.”
She continued: “This is clearly a war of aggression and an unjust war waged by imperialist USA and Zionist Israel to escape their own political and economic crises. We condemn the USA and Israel, the culprits of the Iran war that is expanding into a war in Eastern Europe and intensifying World War 3, and we demand an immediate end to the war on Iran. How many more countries and people must be sacrificed in a living hell just so that imperialism can secure its interests and escape its political and economic crises”
Cha Eun-jeong, a member of the 21st Century Che Guevara, fiercely criticized: “A war is taking place on the widest scale, at the fastest speed, and involving the largest number of countries since World War 2. Beyond West Asian nations, countries including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and Greece are deploying military assets under the pretext of defense. The frontlines have expanded even to Azerbaijan in northern West Asia, and as everyone feared and predicted, the expansion of the war has reached an irreversible level. Donald Trump, who claimed he would ‘Make America Great Again’ and asserted that ‘World War 3 would break out if the Democrats took power’ and that ‘he would not start any new wars during his term,’ has become the worst warmonger, degrading the USA into a top-tier war criminal nation.”
She continued her condemnation: “It is said that oil prices could soar to 150 dollars. If the Strait of Hormuz is completely blockaded and energy facilities are destroyed, the economic shock will affect not only the USA, Israel, and Iran, but the entire world. While the Eastern Hemisphere groans under the war caused by the USA and Israel, the USA is desperately struggling to maintain its grip on the Western Hemisphere. President Maduro and First Lady Flores of Venezuela are still being illegally detained, and Venezuela’s oil sales revenues are held in the clutches of the USA. The energy blockade and economic isolation against Cuba have devastated the livelihoods of the Cuban people and economy of the Cuba.”
She added with emphasis: “Trump spouted, ‘Cuba will fall too,’ saying that Cuba is next after Iran. However, Iran is resisting with a powerful counter-strike of ‘bloody revenge’ against the lawless invasion, and the Venezuelan people disgracefully remember January 3, the day their leader was taken, as they demand the release of President Maduro and march firmly on the path of self-reliance. Cuba is also strengthening its solidarity with anti-imperialist nations for national survival. Against the imperialist aggressors who are determined to provoke the West Asian war and incite an East Asian war to fully initiate World War 3, the anti-imperialist and anti-US forces will hasten the day of independence and liberation through a fierce counter-offensive.”
