Press Conference by the PDP in Front of the Blue House, South Korea

On March 17, the People’s Democracy Party (PDP) including the Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee, the Phoenix Institute of Political Economy held a press conference in front of the Blue House, South Korea under the slogan, “Condemn the US, the Imperialist Aggressor! Reject the Dispatch of South Korean Troops! Withdraw the US Forces from South Korea!”

Here is the summary of the speeches in the demonstration: “The current war against Iran is a blatantly unjust war initiated by US imperialism and Israeli Zionists for the purpose of plundering oil; it is a war of aggression aimed at plunder. Regarding the justification for the war.”

“They began with the false claim that Iran’s ‘nuclear weapons and missiles pose an imminent threat to the US mainland’ and that they must be stopped. They incited the Iranian people to seize control of the government and blatantly revealed their intent for regime change by insisting that the new leader must treat US partner nations in the Middle East well.”

“Furthermore, this is a fascist act of violence rooted in a mindset that refuses to tolerate any force threatening U.S. hegemony or interests, rendering the mere mention of international law—which now exists in name only—utterly meaningless. The international order fundamentally prohibits the use of force; the principles of non-interference in internal affairs, alongside the guarantee of political independence and sovereignty, are its most foundational tenets that should require no further explanation.”

“We condemn the war waged by US imperialism, which has carried out indiscriminate attacks—including the assassination of a nation’s leader, the bombing of a primary school that killed over 180 children, and targeting Iran’s desalination facilities that supply drinking water to millions—and demand that it cease immediately.”

“We vehemently condemn the US, the primary instigator of the invasion of Iran and a top-tier war criminal nation. On March 14, Trump issued a blatant threat to South Korea, stating that in response to Iran’s attempted blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, affected nations must deploy warships to keep the strait open and secure. Currently, the flames of the war in Iran are spreading beyond West Asia to Ukraine, and it is a self-evident fact that the aftermath of this conflict will expand into wars in Taiwan and the Korean Peninsula.”

“In addition, it was warned that ‘On January 31 of this year, China operated H-6K nuclear strategic bombers near Taiwan, and this week, it deployed a large-scale amphibious landing exercise involving the People’s Liberation Army’s South Sea Fleet—the core power in the South China Sea and Taiwan region—along with the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Rocket Force. Consequently, South Korea, home to the world’s largest US military bases, has been reduced to a precarious frontline war outpost where US fighter jets are on the verge of clashing with Chinese aircraft. The full-scale escalation of World War 3, brought about by US imperialism, is already striking South Korea from all directions.”

“Currently, not only the South Korean people but also humanity worldwide are strongly condemning the top-tier war criminal nation, the US. President Lee Jae-myung must never ignore this immense upheaval. The Lee Jae-myung government must keep in mind that immediately rejecting US imperialism’s demand for the deployment of South Korean troops is the only way to preserve its meager existence.”

After the press conference, the PDP delivered a statement ‘Respond to Imperialist US’s Forced Deployment with the Removal of Imperialist US Forces!’ to the Blue House (Cheongwadae).
