US Special Envoy Mission to Pakistan Canceled

On April 25, Donald Trump announced the cancellation of the scheduled visit to Pakistan by Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law, who were slated to meet regarding Iran. At the same time, he added that the US remains open to negotiations with Iran.

Axios reported that the cancellation of the mission by Donald Trump does not signify a resumption of US attacks. Donald Trump also noted that there is “infighting and confusion” within the Iranian leadership and suggested that this visit would have required a significant amount of time and effort.

On social media, Donald Trump wrote, “nobody knows who is in charge, including them,” and added, “All they have to do is call.”
