What Has Happened
On May 12, 2026, five international activists were arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, during a peaceful protest against the neocolonial “Africa-France Summit.” The detainees are: Dimitris Patelis (Greece), Joti Brar (United Kingdom), Guy Bremond (France), and South Koreans Lee Sang-hoon and Song Dan-bi.
Why the Urgency is High
The five remain in custody. They have not been brought before a judge. Kenyan authorities are preparing for their deportation to their home countries. For the two South Koreans, this means imprisonment and torture under the fascist South Korean regime. The others are also in great danger.
Our Demands
Immediate release of all five arrested activists.
An end to deportations to countries where torture and imprisonment await them.
Therefore, AFVN and Peoples for Peace call on everyone to gather in mass tomorrow (Friday, May 15) at 3:00 PM at the Kenyan Embassy.

What Can You Do?
Come to The Hague (gather at 2:45 PM at the embassy).
Make a sign (white cardboard, black marker) with one of these texts:

Wat er gebeurd is
Op 12 mei 2026 werden in Nairobi, Kenia vijf internationale activisten gearresteerd tijdens een vreedzaam protest tegen de neo-koloniale ‘Africa-France Summit’. Het gaat om: Dimitris Patelis (Griekenland), Joti Brar (Verenigd Koninkrijk), Guy Bremond (Frankrijk), en de Zuid-Koreanen Lee Sanghun en Song Danbee.
Waarom de nood nu hoog is
De vijf zitten nog steeds vast. Ze zijn niet voor de rechter gebracht. De Keniaanse autoriteiten bereiden hun deportatie voor naar hun thuislanden. Voor de twee Zuid-Koreanen betekent dat gevangenis en marteling in het fascistische Zuid-Koreaanse regime. Ook de anderen lopen groot gevaar.
Onze eisen
Onmiddellijke vrijlating van alle vijf gearresteerde activisten.
Stop de uitzetting naar landen waar hen marteling en gevangenschap wachten.
Daarom roepen AFVN en Volkeren voor Vrede iedereen op om morgen (vrijdag 15 mei) om 15:00 uur massaal naar de Keniaanse ambassade te komen.

We staan er met borden. Geen toespraken, geen geluid. Alleen aanwezig zijn om solidariteit te tonen en vrijlating te eisen.
