On July 5, the World Anti-imperialist Workers’ Platform, the workers’ wing of the World Anti-imperialist Platform, was officially launched. On the same day, the Platform hosted its 1st International Anti-imperialist Conference online under the theme “The World Anti-Imperialist Front and the Leading Force of the Revolution.“

Representatives of workers’ organizations and trade union activists from Latin America, Asia, Africa, Europe, and other regions participated in the conference. They engaged in lively discussions on the conditions facing workers in their respective countries amid the current international situation moving toward World War 3, as well as the direction and tasks of the movement for workers’ liberation.

Participants also read aloud the Founding Declaration of the World Anti-imperialist Workers’ Platform and pledged to advance its future activities.

The conference opened with an opening address. This was followed by presentations from Struggle Unity, Leninist Workers, Turkish Health and Social Care Workers’ Union, the Revolutionary Workers’ Committee, the Highway Transportation Workers’ Union, and the Construction and Road Workers’ Union of Türkiye.

Proletarians of the World, Unite Under the Banner of Anti-imperialism!

The flames of World War 3 unleashed by imperialism are engulfing the working class and the people throughout the world. Transnational finance capital, military-industrial capital, and civilian capital worldwide generate ‘wartime demand’ throughout every stage of war—before, during, and after it—reaping astronomical superprofits. The more massacres and destruction are repeated, the more transnational capital becomes bloated with unprecedented monopoly superprofits. The working class and the people are reduced to victims of wartime production, cannon fodder for war, and the mentally and physically disabled, perishing in misery. That imperialism is employing AI technology as a weapon of mass destruction and an instrument of massacre was once again demonstrated by the recent massacre of schoolgirls in Iran’s Minab region and the explosion in Starobelsk, Donbas.

As the war situation continues to intensify, imperialist aggression and plunder, oppression and exploitation, are reaching unprecedented levels. As political and economic crises deepen, the imperialist states are casting aside even the thin mask of the ‘welfare state’ and laying bare their exploitation of the working class and the people. In the colonies and semi-colonies, the working class and the people suffer under the compounded plunder and exploitation of imperialism, comprador capital, and proxy regimes. Through blockades, sanctions, and attempts at regime change against anti-imperialist independent states, imperialism is driving the working class and the people to the brink of survival. Imperialism seeks to destroy the right to survival and the right to development of the working class and the people throughout the world, reducing them to perpetual debt slaves.

Since the mid-twentieth century, in the advanced capitalist countries, the number of manual workers has declined markedly, while the ranks of technical and intellectual workers have expanded rapidly. As society develops, it is a law-governed phenomenon that the technical and cultural levels of the working class improve and the number of intellectuals increases. This constitutes an objective condition facilitating the penetration of petty-bourgeois ideology, and may be reflected in differences in the class composition of the working class between state-monopoly capitalist societies and colonial or semi-colonial societies. Yet there is no difference in their position as targets of monopoly superprofit exploitation or in their status as wage slaves. As exploitation by transnational capital, monopoly capital, comprador capital, and capital in general intensifies, the identity of the objects of exploitation and their status as wage slaves will become ever more apparent. With the advancement of science and culture, the working class’s enhanced intellectual capacity will inevitably make it easier to acquire advanced ideology. Regardless of how the times may change, we place our confidence in the working class’s enduring independent consciousness, creativity, revolutionary character, unity and fighting spirit, and, in accordance with the concrete conditions of each country, we must raise the political consciousness, organization, and mobilization of the working class so that it can further strengthen its role as the leading class and the primary force in the revolutionary struggle.

Domestically, imperialism has fostered a ‘labor aristocracy’ to break up the labor movement, and has actively promoted social democracy and the ‘Third Way’ to conceal its exploitation. The traitors within the communist movement inject modern revisionism into the workers and the people of socialist societies, and are stubbornly instigating a return to capitalism under the guise of ‘reform’ and ‘opening up.’ Today, reformism and revisionism wear the mask of pro-imperialist pseudo-theories, such as the ‘Imperialist Pyramid’ theory, and act as representative ideological toxins that divide the international communist movement and the global anti-imperialist movement. The World Anti-imperialist Workers’ Platform will continue to elevate its role as the transmission belt and the mainforce detachment of the World Anti-imperialist Platform, fighting on the absolute front line of the anti-opportunist ideology as its most important objective, alongside the strengthening of the global anti-imperialist struggle and the international communist movement.

Where there is oppression and exploitation, there is resistance and struggle. Imperialism, maintained by domination and plunder, will inevitably perish through the class struggle of the working class within monopoly capitalist countries and the liberation struggle of the workers and the people in the colonies and semi-colonies. In the development of human history advancing toward the realization of independence, the working class is the most independent and revolutionary class, and the sole leading class. In the present period, it is both justice and an inevitability that the entire people, centered on the working class, unite under the anti-imperialist banner to form a world anti-imperialist front and overthrow imperialism. The struggle for national liberation, class liberation, and human emancipation, led by the working class, will surely triumph.

Down with imperialism!

Proletarians of the world, unite!

The people united will never be defeated!
