Since the ceasefire was declared in the Gaza Strip on October 10, 2025, Israel has repeatedly violated the agreement through near-daily attacks, killing hundreds of people.
Israel violated the ceasefire agreement at least 3,795 times between October 10, 2025, and July 19, 2026, through airstrikes, artillery fire and direct shootings, according to Gaza’s Government Media Office. The office added that Israel had also detained 149 Palestinians from Gaza.
On September 29, the United States unveiled a 20-point proposal aimed at ending the war in Gaza, securing the release of the remaining captives held in the enclave, ensuring the full delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged territory, and outlining a three-phase withdrawal of Israeli forces.
According to an Al Jazeera analysis, Israel has carried out attacks in Gaza on 280 of the 312 days since the ceasefire began, leaving only 32 days without reported attacks, deaths or injuries.
Despite the continuing attacks, the United States insists that the “ceasefire” is still holding.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that at least 73,400 people had been killed, including 21,500 children, and at least 174,312 had been injured between October 7, 2023, and August 18, 2026.
