Guinea-Bissau Opposition and Pan-African Groups Call for Boycott of Military-Backed Referendum

The internal and external enemies of Guinea-Bissau and Africa are desperately attempting to reverse the historic progress toward the sovereignty and prosperity of our peoples. That is their mission.

Our mission is to stop this regression and continue moving forward until the power of the people is fully realized in Guinea-Bissau and across Africa.

Our collective efforts have already produced some important results, such as the release of the honest leader chosen by the people, Domingos Simões Pereira. We must continue moving forward, overcoming every obstacle that stands in our way, until we achieve the restoration of constitutional order and the fulfillment of all the legitimate demands of the people of Guinea-Bissau.

The PAIGC, the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (AAPRP), Pan Africanism Today, the West African People’s Organisation, the Association of Young Revolutionary Pan-Africanists of Guinea-Bissau (AJOPAR), Amílcar Cabral African Youth (JAAC), UDEMU, the Popular Front, the Platform for Coordination of Civil Society Organizations, the Revolutionary Movement, Pó de Terra, and other organizations have called for a boycott of the referendum promoted by the coup leaders and traffickers in Guinea-Bissau.

The time to act is now. Take part in positive action that will help prevent this imposed referendum, which is an attempt to transfer even greater powers to the imposed “puppet president,” General Horta Inta-A Na Man.

Victory is certain for the organized masses.
