IAPF Delegation Meets with International Department of CPC Central Committee and CPAPD

October 29, Beijing (RSTV), Within the framework of the 2026 International Day of Peace commemorative events held in Wuhan, the delegation of the International Association of Peace Foundations, led by Comrade Sergey Baburin, held separate meetings with Comrade Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and Comrade Peng Qinghua, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament.

In his conversation with Comrade Liu Haixing, Comrade Baburin said that Russia, a civilisation awakening to itself, was returning to its own path of development and resolutely turning towards the East and the South. He stressed that the era of globalisation aimed at unifying the world according to North American standards had ended, and that a multipolar world should be founded on mutual assistance and brotherhood. He expressed firm support for the Global Governance Initiative put forward by Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, and spoke highly of the relationship of trust between President Putin and President Xi Jinping. Comrade Baburin also introduced Comrade Alexander Mostov, Director of the Association’s Asia Department, as an outstanding activist of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, and described the joint work carried out by the Association and the Platform to build a just and multipolar world.

In his conversation with Comrade Peng Qinghua, the two sides exchanged views on the international situation, the safeguarding of peace and other matters. Comrade Baburin said that the International Association of Peace Foundations was willing to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament.

During the conversation, Comrade Mostov introduced the activities of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform and noted that more than 80 political parties and organisations had now signed the Paris Declaration. He stressed that the Platform regarded China, Korea and Russia as pillars of the anti-imperialist movement, firmly opposed US hegemonism, and supported the struggle of the peoples of all countries for independence and justice. Comrade Mostov stated that the DPRK International Solidarity Group, which operates within the framework of the Asia Department of the International Association of Peace Foundations, had formally joined the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, and expressed the hope of further strengthening ties with China in the field of people-to-people diplomacy.
