The screening of the film Nicolas: Origin, which was released in many countries through the call of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform and the Venezuelan people, took place in Eskişehir on Sunday, December 7.
The Revolutionary Students Union, the Turkish component of the World Anti-Imperialist Youth Platform, screened Nicolas: Origin to demonstrate their solidarity with the Venezuelan people and to expand the international struggle against imperialism.
After a short break following the screening, a video message of support sent by Venezuela’s consulate to Turkey, Lissett Margarita Hernandez Marquez, was shown. Then, on behalf of the World Anti-Imperialist Youth Platform, Rojhat Demirdöken, and on behalf of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, Muhammed Hizmetçi, representative of the Struggle Unity Platform, the Turkish participant of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, and Özlem Oral who had recently been in Venezuela a short while ago in the name of Labour Women member of the World Anti-Imperialist Women’s Platform, took the floor and delivered speeches.
The event concluded with young people gathering on stage with an Anti-Imperialist Platform banner to send a message of solidarity and greetings to the people of Venezuela and the world, chanting the slogan “El Pueblo Unido, Jamas Sera Vencido” (An Organized People Can Never Be Defeated)
