Meeting with the Communist Party of the Galician Republic (PCRG)

On December 9, the World Anti-Imperialist Platform delegation met with the Communist Party of the Galician Republic (PCRG) in Barcelona to discuss the analysis of the current situation and the activities of the Defense Brigade, which are organizing film screenings worldwide.

The delegation explained the current situation, particularly emphasizing the severity of the military and political crisis of war created in Venezuela. The delegation stated, “The storm of the Third World War unleashed by imperialism is blowing from Eastern Europe through West Asia to East Asia and Latin America. Last August saw the invasion of Kursk in Ukraine, followed by Israel’s airstrikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon in September, and from October to December, South Korea’s drone attack on Pyongyang, leading to a state of emergency. Imperialist forces have continuously provoked Korea, Russia, China, and Iran.”

They continued, “Today, Venezuela has become the focal point of the situation. This shift to Latin America occurred because it became difficult for Korea, Russia, China, and Iran to initiate or escalate war through ‘strategic patience’. Venezuela is fighting united under President Maduro. The 8 million-strong militia is proof of this. The US will never occupy Venezuela.”

Finally, he emphasized, “Today’s imperialist warfare is hybrid warfare. It combines physical military conflict with ideological warfare. Therefore, the political struggle waged by global communist forces in response is crucial. The Defense Brigade for Venezuela must play that role. Informing the people of the truth is vital practice.”

The members of Communist Party of the Galician Republic (PCRG) listened attentively, “In Spain, malicious propaganda against Venezuela, especially President Maduro, is rampant. You can see how much contaminated information is being spread and propagated in Spain. We are watching Venezuela’s news very keenly and sensitively. It is crucial to defend Venezuela internationally and fight together for its freedom and liberation.”

And, “The capitalist system can never be the answer. We must fight by penetrating the lives of the people. This leads to a phenomenon where most people are reluctant to have children. But we must remain optimistic and continue to fight through rallies and demonstrations to guarantee workers’ rights.”

Finally, expressing deep interest in the ‘Nicolás’ film screening organized by the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, they resolved to participate in this important film screening as a form of struggle, recognizing it as a vital act of solidarity with Venezuela and spreading the truth.
