The Caribbean Will Become the Graveyard of US Imperialism
Imperialist US has barbarically hijacked a Venezuelan oil tanker. According to reports on December 10, Donald Trump made an absurd remark regarding the disposal plan for the tanker illegally seized off the coast of Venezuela, stating, “We keepi it.” In response, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry strongly condemned this through a statement, calling it ““a blatant theft and an act of international piracy” and “part of a broader campaign against the country’s sovereignty and natural resources.” Notably, this tanker hijacking was committed around the same time as the award ceremony of the “Nobel War Prize” to the far-right fascist ringleader, Machado. It is analyzed that as the malicious propaganda against President Maduro through Machado failed, they caused this hijacking incident to cover it up and simultaneously provoke Venezuela.
US imperialism’s plunder of Venezuelan crude oil is added to the illegal fire-sale of CITGO, a strategic asset of Venezuela and a subsidiary of the state-run oil company (PDVSA). CITGO is the 7th largest refining company, possessing 3 refineries, 6 pipelines, and about 4,200 gas stations across the US. Therefore, it became a target of transnational capital. During Trump’s first term in 2019, after inflating the debt of the fake government of “Self-Proclaimed President” Guaidó to $23.6 billion to make repayment impossible, they are attempting to plunder it by seizing CITGO through “lawsuits” and forcing the sale of this enterprise, with an actual value of $11-13 billion, at a dirt-cheap price of $5.9 billion. In May of this year, Maduro declared that he “will never give up CITGO,” and in December, the Venezuelan National Assembly condemned the US government’s acquisition of CITGO and proposed a bill to strip the citizenship of pro-US fascists who collaborated with this.
The robbery and piracy of imperialist US show that the true intention of the US military force gathered in the Caribbean is not the “War on Drugs.” In August, Trump slandered Venezuela—a drug-free nation—as a “drug-crime state” and maliciously framed Maduro, the head of the anti-imperialist people’s regime, as a “drug boss,” foreshadowing a ground operation following the naval and air operations. Furthermore, the US is intent on collapsing people’s regimes by expanding the “War on Drugs” to include Colombia and Mexico, and by instigating pro-US far-right groups within the nations with people’s regimes to ignite far-right fascist riots. This extremely wicked atrocity, as confirmed by the oil tanker hijacking and the illegal sale of CITGO, is aimed at plundering Venezuela’s crude oil and the abundant natural resources of Latin America, and is the manifestation of the sinister ambition to reduce Latin America back into the US’s “backyard.”
The core of the US National Security Strategy announced by the Trump administration on the Decmeber 4 is the “New Monroe Doctrine.” This declares that the US will position itself as the sole hegemonic power in the American continent. Trump, who is instigating a “Second Caribbean Crisis” by assembling invading forces, including the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, and 15,000 troops in the Caribbean, has officially formulated the strategy for dominating Latin America through this National Security Strategy. Meanwhile, in Venezuela, the government, the military, and the people are united by a single heart in their resolve for a decisive anti-US resistance struggle. Throughout Latin America, the support and solidarity of anti-imperialist people’s regimes for Venezuela, and the fervent anti-US and anti-fascist mass struggles of the people, are unfolding. Additionally, the forces of global anti-imperialist joint struggle have formed the “Defense Brigade,” a crystallization of internationalist solidarity, to defend Venezuela. The defeat and downfall of imperialism are inevitable. In particular, the Caribbean will become the graveyard of US imperialism. The world’s progressive humanity will collectively rise up in the anti-US resistance and anti-imperialist struggle to overthrow imperialism and hasten a new world of independence and peace.

El imperialista Estados Unidos ha secuestrado brutalmente un petrolero venezolano. CITGO es la séptima empresa refinera más grande, con tres refinerías, seis oleoductos y unas 4200 gasolineras en todo Estados Unidos. Por lo tanto, se convirtió en objetivo del capital transnacional. Les États-Unis ont procédé à la saisie d’un pétrolier vénézuélien. Selon des informations datant du 10 décembre, Donald Trump a fait une déclaration concernant le sort réservé au pétrolier saisi illégalement au large des côtes vénézuéliennes, affirmant : « Nous le conservons ». En réponse, le ministère vénézuélien des Affaires étrangères a fermement condamné cet acte dans un communiqué, le qualifiant de « vol flagrant et d’acte de piraterie internationale » et de « partie intégrante d’une campagne plus large contre la souveraineté et les ressources naturelles du pays ».
