CARC Party: Mobilizing in solidarity with Bolivarian Venezuela – Today’s squares

Following last night’s military aggression, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez confirmed that the United States had kidnapped President Nicolas Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores.

“Faced with this brutal situation and this brutal attack, we do not know the whereabouts of President Nicolas Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores,” Rodriguez said, confirming the killing of soldiers and civilians during the US military operation, which carried out bombings against Caracas and three other states in the country.

For this reason, Rodríguez called on the U.S. government to provide “immediate proof of the existence” of Maduro and Flores. He reiterated a warning previously issued by the Venezuelan leader regarding how the country should respond to U.S. aggression, motivated “by desperation and U.S. energy greed.”

“The first thing President Maduro told the Venezuelan people was ‘people in the streets,’ activated as a militia, activating all the nation’s comprehensive defense plans,” the vice president stated. Rodriguez emphasized that the illegal detention of the Venezuelan president, as well as the air strikes against the population, constitute a flagrant violation of international law.

In Italy, calls for mobilization and to take to the streets in solidarity with Bolivarian Venezuela are multiplying. Below are the ones we’re aware of; others are planned and are being announced. Let’s all mobilize and participate!

May each of these demonstrations be a denunciation of the actions of the US imperialists against Venezuela. May each demonstration fuel the unity of the entire popular movement against the ongoing Third World War, from Palestine to Donbass to Caracas. May each demonstration call into question the warmongering government led by Giorgia Meloni, an accomplice and puppet of the US, EU, and Zionist imperialists in our country.

The slogans of our solidarity with Bolivarian Venezuela must be clear and unequivocal: We oust the Meloni government! We break the US imperialist military occupation of our country! We fight with strength, courage, and honor against imperialism, starting at home! We block everything, we change everything!
