Americans, Opposed to Dispatching Ground Troops in Iran War

According to a report on April 1, based on research by Reuters and Ipsos, 66% of Americans prefer to end the war as soon as possible, even if the goal is not fully achieved.

The Economist and YouGov survey showed 59% opposing the war, and 28% supporting it.

In an AP-NORC poll, 60% of respondents stated that the U.S. military actions have already gone too far.

Opposition to sending ground troops is even more pronounced. In three separate polls, 62% to 76% of respondents opposed the deployment of U.S. troops. In the Ipsos survey, 86% expressed concerns about the risks to soldiers’ lives.

In the AP-NORC poll, 67% of respondents identified preventing a rise in gas prices as the top priority, more than double the 33% who prioritized regime change in Iran. In the Ipsos survey, nearly 77% expressed concerns about the overall financial cost of the war.
