We Strongly Condemn the Heinous and Brutal Massacres Perpetrated by Ukrainian Neo-Nazis and NATO Imperialists!

The Ukrainian neo-Nazi authorities have committed the absolute worst, most heinous massacre. For approximately four hours from the night of May 21 to the early morning of May 22, they launched three consecutive waves of attacks on the academic building and dormitory of a university located in Starobelsk, the Luhansk People’s Republic. Inside the dormitory, 86 teenagers and students aged between 14 and 18, along with one staff member, were asleep. This massive joint assault involved 16 drones, including four strike-type unmanned aerial vehicles. As of May 24, a total of 21 people have been slaughtered, and 42 others have sustained severe injuries. Infuriated by this tragedy, Russia retaliated on May 24 with a large-scale retaliatory airstrike, deploying its most advanced precision-strike assets—including the hypersonic missile Oreshnik—against military and defense industrial infrastructure across Ukraine.

This massacre reflects a sinister ambition to derail peace negotiations and prolong the war. Based on the “Anchorage Spirit”—the diplomatic framework established during the Russia-US summit on August 15, 2025—Russia and the United States held the two rounds of talks in Abu Dhabi, followed by Geneva talk, in January and February 2026. The core tenets of the “Anchorage Spirit” consist of: “the realistic acceptance of Ukraine’s territorial partition,” “a permanent ban on Ukraine’s NATO membership,” “the rejection of a ceasefire-first precondition,” and “the easing of sanctions on Russia alongside the resumption of Russia-US economic cooperation.” To institutionalize these principles, a “28-item draft peace plan” has been exchanged behind the scenes, with the US aiming to finalize a definitive peace agreement by June this year. As Russia nears the fulfillment of its original objectives set forth during the launch of its special military operation in February 2022—namely, halting NATO’s eastward expansion, de-nazification, and protecting civilians—a panicked Ukraine has resorted to this abominable and bloodthirsty slaughter.

The mastermind pulling the strings behind this massacre is none other than NATO. On the evening of May 21, the very day of the catastrophe, a political-military meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council was underway in Sweden. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, along with the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Sweden, gathered to intensively discuss Sweden’s provision of combat armored vehicles, tanks, and air defense systems to Ukraine, as well as “long-range strike capabilities and sustainable, predictable military support measures.” Is it mere coincidence that such an invasion plot, schemes to prolong the war, and a brutal massacre took place on the same day? European imperialist nations, resisting the peace talks pursued by Russia and the US, are artificially sustaining the Ukraine war by fabricating a multinational military training apparatus under the banner of the EU Military Assistance Mission for Ukraine and establishing new Ukraine support funds. Furthermore, from a military-technical standpoint, NATO is providing both the UAV technology used by Ukraine and the signals intelligence required to pinpoint targeting coordinates.

The Ukrainian war began in January 2014 with the “Maidan Coup,” which closely resembled a civil war. Starting with the Odessa massacre in May, it intensified into the eight-year-long Donbas civil war. The massacre of the Russian-ethnic population in Donbas by Ukrainian neo-Nazi legions, such as the “Azov” Battalion, officially stands at 14,000 people, but is actually estimated to be between 50,000 and 55,000. It is NATO that supplied the weapons for this massacre. When the ringleader of the Ukrainian neo-Nazis, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, declared an all-out war in January 2022, Russia—which had been striving for a peaceful resolution—finally launched a special military operation in February, bringing the Ukrainian war into full swing. This sharp reality clearly demonstrates the aggressiveness, criminality, brutality, and cunningness of imperialism and fascism. NATO, the command center of aggressive war, is drawing pro-NATO East Asian countries, including the ‘Republic of Korea (‘ROK’, South Korea),’ into the Ukrainian war in order to prolong the conflict and bring World War 3 into full swing. Peace will only come when we put an end to imperialism, which survives on aggression and plunder, and fascism, its war puppet. Our people and global humanity will overthrow imperialism and fascism as soon as possible through the world anti-imperialist joint struggle.
