WE DENOUNCE REPRESSION AGAINST ANTI-IMPERIALIST YOUTH IN TURKEY
The Peruvian Communist Party stands in solidarity with the youth of the World Anti-Imperialist Youth Platform and denounces the Turkish government for the imprisonment, which occurred on July 1, 2026, of the young participants in the World Anti-Imperialist Youth Platform’s youth camp.
The peaceful youth camp, held in Çanakkale, 500 kilometers from Istanbul, was raided by Turkish police, who arrested young participants from Türkiye, youth members of the PDP (Korea), and from other countries, even though they had not committed any crime or violated Turkish law.
This fascist raid occurred a week before the NATO summit to be held in Ankara, with the aim of instilling fear in anti-imperialist youth in Turkey and the world and discouraging their struggle against militarism and imperialist wars.
As part of this fascist repression, lawyer Veysi Çetin, secretary of the Izmir branch of the Progressive Lawyers Association (Çağdaş Hukukçular Derneği | ÇHD), was arrested. Çetin was detained on July 1, 2026, during a dawn raid on a youth camp.
We condemn the violent repression against anti-imperialist youth in Turkey and other countries.

DENUNCIAMOS REPRESIÓN EN CONTRA DE JÓVENES ANTI-IMPERIALISTAS EN TÜRKIYE
El PARTIDO COMUNISTA PERUANO se SOLIDARIZA con los jóvenes de la Plataforma Mundial Anti-imperialista de la Juventud y DENUNCIA al gobierno turco por el encarcelamiento, ocurrido este 1° de julio de 2026 en contra de los jóvenes participantes del campamento juvenil de la Plataforma Mundial Anti-imperialista de la Juventud.
El campamento juvenil de carácter pacífico que se celebraba en Çanakkale a 500 kilómetros de Estambul, ha sido objeto del allanamiento por la policía turca, quienes arrestado a los jóvenes participantes de Türkiye, de miembros juveniles del PDP (Corea) y de otros países, sin que cometan ningún tipo de delito, ni infracción a las leyes turcas.
Esta redada fascista han ocurrió una semana antes de la cumbre de la OTAN que se realizará en Ankara, con la finalidad de inculcar miedo en los jóvenes anti-imperialista de Turquía y el mundo y desanimar su lucha en contra del militarismo y en contra de las guerras imperialistas.
En esta conducta de represión fascista, ha sido detenido el abogado Veysi Çetin, quien es secretario de la filial de Esmirna de la Asociación de Abogados Progresistas (Çağdaş Hukukçular Derneği | ÇHD). El abogado Çetin fue detenido el 1 de julio de 2026, durante una redada al amanecer en el campamento juvenil.
Rechazamos la represión violenta en contra de los jóvenes anti-imperialista de Turquía y de diferentes países.
