On the 7th, the People’s Democracy Party (PDP) and the World Anti-imperialist Platform (Platform) held a rally in front of the US Embassy to strongly condemn the recent US pledge of approximately $250 million package in new aid to Ukraine.
The participants shouted slogans such as ‘Condemn the US for supporting the genocide of the Ukrainian people!’, ‘Stop arms aid to the Zelensky dictatorship!’, ‘Unite the anti-imperialist forces to crush the imperialist war of aggression!’, and ‘End the imperialist agenda for world wars!’.
The moderator said, “Zelensky fascist dictatorship in Ukraine has been constantly begging for weapons support from the West since the beginning of the war”, and “US’s weapons are being used by the Zelensky dictatorship to massacre Ukrainian civilians. The 500,000 shells provided by the Yoon government in the “Republic of Korea” might be used to massacre Ukrainian civillians.”
“We oppose all acts of imperialist war of aggression, including the provision of weapons of mass destruction to Ukraine, and we strongly condemn the US military and political scheme to expand the war in Ukraine to Eastern Europe in order to be in full swing of Third World War,” she said.
The secretary of the Seoul Committee of PDP remarked, “The war in Ukraine started not in 2022 but in 2014. The Maidan coup installed a fascist government led by followers of Nazi collaborators during the Second World War, like Stepan Bandera.”
“In the eight years between 2014 and February 2022, the bombardment by the fascist army killed 14,000 people, most of them civilians. Militias backed by imperialist powers terrorized resistance groups across Ukraine on a daily basis,” he added.
“Today’s war in Ukraine is a proxy war using the Zelensky dictatorship, waged by the US and European imperialist powers, which want regime change in Russia in order to plunder the country’s vast resources,” he stressed.
“The US’s support is just the means for enriching the military-industrial complex at the expense of the peoples of Ukraine and Russia, and for provoking Third World War by the imperialist which are in a political and economic crisis,” he continued, adding that “The forces who love peace and support the interest of the people must oppose the Zelensky regime in Ukraine.”
The English remark of the youth member of the PDP pointed out that “the US imperialism and its allies are flooding Ukraine with weapons.”
“The US imperialism and its allies are not only expanding the Ukraine war into Eastern Europe, and intensifying war in Palestine into West Asia, but also attempting to initiate war in East Asia,” she added.
She asked “How many more people need to be sacrificed to stop the imperialist war?” and said “they will never stop”, “Cause imperialist nature is aggression and exploitation. Without plundering and waging war, imperialism cannot survive.
The only way to stop their aggressive atrocities is our united struggle!”
She stressed “Anti-imperialist and anti-fascist forces of the world, let us unite, then we will certainly see victory before our eyes!” adding that “the PDP is reaffirmed our resolution to stand with the people in Donbas, the people in Palestine, and all the oppressed people of the world.”
The participants concluded the rally by singing the International together.
