On the 17th, U.S. President Biden lifted restrictions on Ukraine’s use of U.S.-supplied long-range missiles in response to ‘the deployment of the DPRK to Russia.’
The U.S., worrying expansion of war, had previously not provided Ukraine with weapons capable of striking deep into Russia’s mainland and had restricted the use of such weapons.
However, in response to the deployment of the DPRK to Russia, the U.S.-supplied long-range missile ATACMS was authorized for use against targets inside Russia.
Vladimir Dzhabarov, deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, warned that the United States has made a very big step towards the start of world war three.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that allowing Ukraine to use long-range weapons would mean an all-out war between Russia and the West, including the United States.
In May, after Russia launched an airstrike on Kharkiv, the U.S. began to ease restrictions on Ukraine’s use of these weapons.
