On March 11, Ukraine launched a massive drone attack on Russia’s capital Moscow ahead of high-level talks with the US.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that it shot down 337 drones over 10 Russian regions last night, 91 of them were destroyed over Moscow region.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also said on Telegram that a Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow in the early hours of the morning and shot down a total of 69 Ukrainian drones.
He also said at least 11 Ukrainian drones were shot down in the Ramenskoye and Domodedovo district of the Moscow region.
Russian aviation watchdog suspended flights at all four of Moscow’s airports and temporarily closed two airports in the Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod regions east of Moscow.
The attack appears to be the largest against Moscow since the war began in February 2022, Bloomberg reported.
