2nd International Anti-Fascist Forum in Moscow

From 21 to 25 April, the 2nd International Anti-Fascist Forum was held in Moscow, Russia. The forum was attended by 91 countries and 64 delegates from around the world, including former Soviet Union countries such as Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the delegations from the World Anti-imperialist Platform. The first International Anti-Fascist Forum in 2023 was held in Minsk, Belarus, with more than 50 countries participating. 

On the 21st, the International scientific and practical conference named “The Birth of Genius” for the 155th anniversary of Lenin’s Birth, was held as the framework of the programe of the International Anti-Fascist Forum. CPRF faction in the State Duma and All-Russia public organization “Russian scientists – for socialism” (RUSO) were co-hosted the conference.

In the article “Leninism is a banner of certain victory,” Stephen Cho, organizer of the World Anti-imperialist Platform, said, “The world communist and anti-imperialist movements are forging a world anti-imperialist front, and they will emerge as the final victors in World War III, leading the new great upsurge of revolution. The historical experiences of victory in the Russian Revolution and World War II are the greatest weapons of our revolution in this era. The victory of anti-imperialist and socialist movements, advancing along the path of science, is certain. Leninism is the banner of certain victory.”

On the 22nd, the international delegations paid tribute to Lenin at the Lenin Mausoleum in Red Square to mark the 155th anniversary of his birth. Afterward, delegations visited the Museum of Victory, which explains the history of Russia’s victory in World War II. The museum exhibited the heroic achievements of the Red Army in the fight against German Nazism.

On the 23rd, the International Anti-Fascist Forum named “consolidation of left forces in the struggle against neo-fascism and the threat of war” was held a plenary session.

Following an analysis of the current political situation in Russia and the world by Gennady Andreyevich Zyuganov, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), three sessions were held to discuss the topics. The first session was titled “Lenin’s Teachings on Imperialism and Fascism,” the second session was “Fascism: A Threat to Security and Cooperation in Europe,” and the third session was “Nazism and Fascism as Logical Continuation of Colonial Capitalism.” 

In the first session, the Platform’s delegations from the Revolutionary Unification (RU, Greece), CARC Party (Italy), and Stephen Cho, coordinator of the Korean International Forum and organizer of the World Anti-imperialist Platform, participated in.

In the second session, the Communist Party of Belgium, Communist Labor Party of Türkiye/Leninist, and New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (Serbia) participated in. 

At the last, the appeal was adopted which defined the fight against fascism as a common and urgent task of progressive forces around the world. 

The appeal said, “NATO countries set a goal – to demonize Russia, inflict a military defeat on it and dismember it into parts following the example of the Soviet Union. To achieve this goal, an aggressive bridgehead was created in Ukraine. One of the forms of Nazism – Banderaism – was cultivated.” and calling for condemnation of imperialist aggression around the world and solidarity against imperialism.
