On November 14, the following is the full statement delivered by Tania Valentina Díaz González, Vice President for International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
Caracas, November 14, 2025
Greetings, comrades from around the world:
The United Socialist Party of Venezuela condemns the escalation of U.S. militarism in the Caribbean and calls on parties and movements worldwide to join a mobilization of international public opinion to counter the enormous psychological warfare operation implied in the so-called “Operation Southern Spear” which seeks to trigger violent actions and sow conflict in the region.
We alert the free peoples of the world: This is not an isolated maneuver. The United States intends to turn Venezuela into the entry point of its new strategy of domination, openly and shamelessly colonialist. It seeks to force a war today in a zone of peace, in order to extend it tomorrow against any country that contradicts its interests.
What is it aiming for? To spread death, destruction, and hatred across Latin America and the Caribbean? To bring to Our America the dehumanized practices that brutally wipe out families and children in the Gaza Strip? To normalize the unjustified bombings through which it carries out selective assassinations on the coasts of Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, and Trinidad and Tobago? Does it aspire for the countries of the south to bear the cost of its economic, political, and moral crisis through looting and violence? Does it really believe we are its backyard?
From Venezuela, we reaffirm our unwavering right to peace and demand that our sovereignty be respected. We call on our peers, our friends, and all international solidarity to mobilize creatively and boldly.
We must march united against the new colonialism—fascist and supremacist—that has unleashed its fury of death upon the world.
In Venezuela, we are ready for this great victory for Humanity.
Sincerely,
Tania Valentina Díaz González
United Socialist Party of Venezuela
Vice President of International Affairs
