US Air Force Flights Near Venezuela

According to the flight-tracking site Flightradar24 on November 24, several US Air Force aircraft flew over the Caribbean Sea between Venezuela’s coast and Curaçao Island, about 65 km away.

At least one B-52 bomber, two F/A-18 fighter jets, and one E-2 early warning and command aircraft were reported to be involved.

On the same day, following its military deployment in the Caribbean, the US designated an unidentified “Venezuelan drug cartel” as a terrorist organization.

Earlier, on the 22nd, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a warning for Venezuelan airspace, citing safety concerns arising from heightened military tensions, and countries around the world canceled at least 22 flights departing from Caracas.

Amid international criticism, the US is raising the level of pressure on Venezuela by deploying military forces in the Caribbean, invoking “counter-narcotics operations” as justification.
