The U.S. Air Force has resumed a military presence by temporarily deploying troops to Eloy Alfaro International Airport in Ecuador. This deployment is justified as part of efforts to disrupt drug trafficking routes, dismantle criminal organizations, and strengthen the Ecuadorian military’s intelligence-gathering and counter-narcotics capabilities. The airport is a dual-use civilian-military facility where U.S. forces were stationed until the 2009 ban on foreign military bases, and since December 13 at least six formations of C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft have arrived. The move comes shortly after a national referendum in which 61 percent of Ecuadorians expressed opposition to foreign military bases.

In the face of the onslaught of North American imperialism, carried out through the pirate Donald Trump, which seeks—by harassing the people and the government of Venezuela—to extract and strip the country of its oil, its resources, and all the values that belong to the Venezuelan people and their government.
This is nothing new. The U.S. government has always done everything possible to draw into its own economy the wealth and values of the Latin American peoples, and today it is once again doing so against the people and the government of Venezuela.
We are calling on the Communist Party of Ecuador, on all democratic, progressive, and revolutionary forces, and on all social and political organizations of Ecuador and Latin America, to join the struggle against the United States Navy, which seeks—through its criminal flights that have already left more than a hundred dead—to do the same to the people of Venezuela and, why not say it as well, to the Colombian people.
At this decisive moment, the peoples of Latin America and the peoples of the world have come together to defend the people and the government of Venezuela, led by President Nicolás Maduro.

Ante la arremetida del imperialismo norteamericano, por intermedio del pirata Donald Trump, que pretende —mediante el acoso al pueblo y al gobierno de Venezuela— extraer y despojar al paÃs de su petróleo, de sus recursos y de todos los valores que pertenecen al pueblo y al gobierno venezolano.
Esto no es una novedad. El gobierno norteamericano ha hecho siempre todo lo posible por arrastrar hacia su economÃa las riquezas y los valores de los pueblos latinoamericanos, y hoy lo hace nuevamente contra el pueblo y el gobierno de Venezuela.
Estamos invitando al Partido Comunista del Ecuador, a todas las fuerzas democráticas, progresistas y revolucionarias, asà como a todas las organizaciones sociales y polÃticas del Ecuador y de América Latina, a que se sumen al combate contra la Armada de los Estados Unidos, que pretende —con sus vuelos criminales, que ya han dejado un centenar de muertos— hacer lo mismo con el pueblo de Venezuela y, por qué no decirlo, también con el pueblo colombiano.
En este momento cumbre, los pueblos latinoamericanos y los pueblos del mundo se han sumado para defender al pueblo y al gobierno de Venezuela, comandado por el presidente Nicolás Maduro.

Face à l’offensive de l’impérialisme nord-américain, menée par l’intermédiaire du pirate Donald Trump, qui cherche — en harcelant le peuple et le gouvernement du Venezuela — à extraire et à dépouiller le pays de son pétrole, de ses ressources et de toutes les richesses qui appartiennent au peuple et au gouvernement vénézuéliens.
Cela n’est pas une nouveauté. Le gouvernement nord-américain a toujours fait tout son possible pour attirer vers son économie les richesses et les valeurs des peuples latino-américains, et aujourd’hui il agit de nouveau contre le peuple et le gouvernement du Venezuela.
Nous appelons le Parti communiste de l’Équateur, toutes les forces démocratiques, progressistes et révolutionnaires, ainsi que toutes les organisations sociales et politiques de l’Équateur et de l’Amérique latine, à se joindre au combat contre la marine des États-Unis, qui cherche — à travers ses vols criminels, ayant déjà fait une centaine de morts — à faire la même chose au peuple du Venezuela et, pourquoi ne pas le dire, également au peuple colombien.
En ce moment décisif, les peuples latino-américains et les peuples du monde se sont unis pour défendre le peuple et le gouvernement du Venezuela, dirigé par le président Nicolás Maduro.
