The imperialist United States‘ threats of attack against the popular government in Venezuela, which have been ongoing for some time, have now escalated into overt military aggression following the bombing of fishing boats under the pretext of drug trafficking and the seizure of oil tankers. At around 2:00 a.m. local time in Venezuela, the Fort Tiuna military base near Caracas was targeted by low–flying US planes and helicopters, and at least seven explosions occurred. The scope of the attacks is not yet fully understood, but among the places hit is the La Guaira Port in Caracas. While the Bolivarian government issued calls for resolute resistance against the attacks, Cuba, Colombia, China, Russia, and many other countries condemned the attacks and issued statements of support for the Bolivarian government.
The US, which has been escalating its aggression, particularly in recent weeks, and seizing Venezuelan oil tankers by military force, has begun military operations after failing to subdue Venezuela. The US military, which has long been deploying aircraft carriers, attack and assault aircraft, and tens of thousands of marines to the Venezuelan coast, has launched an attack on Trump‘s orders. According to the information available so far, although there have been sporadic power cuts in the capital, a state of emergency has been declared on the orders of Bolivarian President Maduro, and millions of people have been mobilized to defend their country. The popular government and the working class of Venezuela are now entering a critical period. To protect the revolution and its gains, imperialism must be defeated in a courageous war.
As the 21st century takes shape as a century of uprisings and revolutions, the hegemony of the imperialist capitalist world is collapsing in every sense. However, this collapse is not painless. A fierce struggle is raging everywhere against the flagship of imperialism, the United States, and its supporters, who are trying to spread the process of total economic annexation to every corner of the planet in order to maintain their global dominance, targeting all countries where socialists and popular forces are in power. From Palestine to Venezuela, everywhere is witnessing a fierce struggle between revolution and counterrevolution, between imperialist barbarians and oppressed peoples. The Bolivarian government of Venezuela and the Venezuelan working class are creating powerful examples of popular power in the form of communes and popular militias, leaving no chance for imperialism and the counter–revolutionaries to win. Neither the sieges of the imperialist world nor military attacks will subdue the Bolivarian government and the Venezuelan people. Victory will belong to the comrades of Chávez, who declared, “Comuna O Nada.”
Now, it’s time to take to the streets to demonstrate the advanced examples of action–based struggle unity and internationalist solidarity with the people and working class of Venezuela!
The US and its collaborator will lose, Bolivarian Venezuela will be victorious!
