PDP Put Up Banners Across Seoul, “Condemn the Lee Jae-myung government bowing before Kenya!”

People’s Democracy Party put up banners across central Seoul criticizing the Lee Jae-myung administration and the Korean police for a humiliating response to the illegal detention of a ‘ROK’ delegation of the World Anti-imperialist Platform in Kenya.

The banners were displayed near the Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House, the Presidential Office), the Government Complex and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Police Agency, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, Yongsan Police Station, and around the Embassy of Kenya in Seoul.

For explanations of the slogans on each banner, please refer to the captions beneath the respective photos.

The banner says “The Lee Jae-myung government bowing before Kenya – a modern-day Samjeondo humiliation.”
“Sanjeondo” refers to a historic symbol of national humiliation in Korea, when the king of Joseon surrendered to the Qing dynasty in 1636.
