At this time, 16 people are confirmed dead, 5 are missing, and several dozen are wounded as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on a college dormitory in the city of Starobelsk, Luhansk People’s Republic. The students were peacefully asleep in their dormitory when the strike hit. Many were injured; rescue workers continue to clear the rubble and fight for every life.
A targeted strike on a location where children were sleeping is an inhuman crime for which there is no justification. Kyiv’s goal is to terrorize the civilian population and break the will of the Russian soldier by striking at what is most precious — children.
Just as in the barbaric attack on a school in the city of Minab in Iran, where the American-Zionist alliance carried out the deliberate murder of 148 children, the crime in Starobelsk bears the hallmark of the same maniac — one who wields an arsenal of the latest technologies of destruction, including AI. It is telling that the murder of children by Ukrainian military drones took place immediately after the visit to Kyiv of Alex Karp, one of the founders of the American corporation Palantir, where he met with Ukraine’s Minister of Defence to discuss the use of AI in warfare.
While the socialists of the world seek to harness AI for the benefit of all people, imperialism turns it into an instrument of genocide.
But unlike the Kyiv Nazis, we are not beasts. We believe that the most just response for every innocent child’s life must be the elimination of the military-political leadership responsible for taking this criminal decision, and the trial of the survivors in the spirit of the Nuremberg Tribunal.
Until then, we call on all comrades who care about the fate of fighting Russia and our children to stand together against imperialist terror:
1. Share news, articles, reports, videos, and any information that breaks through the West’s hypocritical information blockade — across all your social media platforms and every available channel.
2. Organize protest actions at the embassies of Ukraine, European Union countries (Germany, France, Belgium, and others), and the United States, under the slogans: “A new Nuremberg for the child-killers of Starobelsk!” and “Stop the genocide of Russians in Donbas!”
3. Flood the inboxes of Western media outlets — CNN, BBC, NYT, and others — with news of Ukraine’s terrorist attack on the children of Starobelsk. They declined the invitation to visit Starobelsk because their leadership supports the terrorist methods of the Kyiv Nazis.
Only by displaying international solidarity on this front of the anti-imperialist struggle will we strengthen the ranks of SOVINTERN and the world majority that refuses to play the role of cattle led to slaughter in the hands of imperialist masters!
