Workers’ Party of Chile Protests at the Bolivian Consulate in Solidarity with the Bolivian People
Militants and leaders of the Workers’ Party of Chile participated this weekend in a demonstration held in front of the Bolivian consulate in Chile, in support of the national strike and the mobilizations carried out by the Bolivian people against the government of Rodrigo Paz.
The activity brought together various Chilean social and political organizations, which expressed their backing for the struggle of the native indigenous sectors, workers, residents, and Bolivian youth who have mobilized in defense of their rights and the social achievements attained in recent years.
During the rally, Jorge Gálvez, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Chile, pointed out that “in the history of our continent, the Bolivian people have shown us courage and determination to face those who have tried to bend them and who threaten their social, economic, cultural, and political integrity.”
Likewise, Diego Guzmán, youth leader of the Workers’ Party of Chile, added that “today, once again, the native indigenous sectors, the workers, residents, and youth have taken to the streets to confront the bad government and fight for their rights and in defense of the achievements that have been accomplished over these years with so much sacrifice and effort.”
The Workers’ Party of Chile also called to strengthen internationalist solidarity among Latin American peoples and to support the popular mobilizations in Bolivia.
“We call on the social and political organizations of Chile to express their backing for the demonstrations rejecting the bad government of Rodrigo Paz, and to make effective this people-to-people solidarity,” the leaders present stated.
The demonstration was marked by anti-imperialist slogans, calls for the resignation of Rodrigo Paz, and expressions of solidarity with Evo Morales and the struggle of the Bolivian people.
Representatives from the Francisco Bilbao Center for Studies, FPMR, PRT, Pan y Rosas, Izquierda Soberanista, and other popular and revolutionary organizations also participated in the activity.

Partido del Trabajo de Chile protesta en consulado de Bolivia en solidaridad con el pueblo boliviano
Militantes y dirigentes del Partido del Trabajo de Chile participaron este fin de semana en una manifestación realizada en el frontis del consulado de Bolivia en Chile, en apoyo al paro nacional y a las movilizaciones que desarrolla el pueblo boliviano contra el gobierno de Rodrigo Paz.
La actividad reunió a diversas organizaciones sociales y políticas chilenas, las que expresaron su respaldo a la lucha de los sectores indígenas originarios, trabajadores, pobladores y juventudes bolivianas que se han movilizado en defensa de sus derechos y de las conquistas sociales alcanzadas en los últimos años.
Durante la concentración, Jorge Gálvez Secretario General del Partido del Trabajo de Chile señaló que “en la historia de nuestro continente el pueblo boliviano nos ha dado muestras de coraje y decisión para enfrentar a los que han pretendido doblegarlos y amenazan su integridad social, económica, cultural y política”.
Asimismo, Diego Guzmán dirigente juvenil del Partido del Trabajo de Chile agregó que “hoy nuevamente los sectores indígena originarios, los trabajadores, pobladores y juventudes han salido a las calles a enfrentarse al mal gobierno y luchar por sus derechos y en defensa de las conquistas que en estos años han sido logradas con tanto sacrificio y esfuerzo”.
Desde el Partido del Trabajo de Chile se hizo también un llamado a fortalecer la solidaridad internacionalista entre los pueblos latinoamericanos y a respaldar las movilizaciones populares en Bolivia.
“Llamamos a las organizaciones sociales y políticas de Chile a expresar el respaldo a las manifestaciones de rechazo al mal gobierno de Rodrigo Paz, y hacer efectiva la solidaridad de pueblo a pueblo”, señalaron los dirigentes presentes.
La manifestación estuvo marcada por consignas antimperialistas, llamados a la renuncia de Rodrigo Paz y expresiones de solidaridad con Evo Morales y con la lucha del pueblo boliviano.
En la actividad también participaron representantes del Centro de Estudios Francisco Bilbao, FPMR, PRT, Pan y Rosas, Izquierda Soberanista y otras organizaciones populares y revolucionarias.
