The Communist Party Reiterates Its Full Support for the Genuine, Anti-Oligarchic, And Anti-Imperialist Struggle Of the CNTE and Condemns the Attacks by the State Apparatus and the Bourgeoisie Against Social Movements

The National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) is the most important, consistent, and combative democratic, teachers’-popular organization and reference point of the social left in Mexico in the 21st century.

The growing popular discontent caused by the neglect of social and labor demands, the demands of communities in resistance, collectives, and the mothers of more than 134,000 disappeared persons—and in particular those raised by the CNTE—as well as the rejection by communities and peoples in resistance of the subservience of the government and the Mexican oligarchy to U.S. imperialism and transnational corporations in facilitating the dispossession of territories and energy, mineral, water, and maritime resources, among others; and the monopolistic and foreign control of fundamental sectors necessary for sovereign development, such as the financial sector, are all disregarded by the Morena political elite.

Far from addressing social demands or even fulfilling electoral campaign commitments, such as repealing the reforms enacted under the administrations of Zedillo and Calderón concerning the IMSS and ISSSTE laws, social and labor organizations are suffering attacks from the current government and the Mexican oligarchy, together with their various right-wing and far-right factions. This situation raises alarms and opens the door to repression. Although government officials claim they will not fall into provocations, it is undeniable that weapons have already been used, such as in Mitla, Oaxaca, on May 27, 2026, and the use of tear gas, toxic fire-extinguisher powder, and rifles firing “rubber” bullets in Mexico City on May 26 and June 1, 2026. It has been proven that these weapons can kill. One person has died, two people were injured, and one of them faces the risk of completely losing their eyesight—all as a result of the supposed policy of “non-repression” against teachers.

The Communist Party rejects and condemns this coordinated attack—reminiscent of the worst periods of PRIAN rule—against the CNTE and the thousands of teachers active within it. We will continue accompanying their struggles, just as hundreds of organizations throughout the country do, organizations that dream of and fight for a truly democratic, strong, sovereign, patriotic, and nationalist nation, one that is neither colonized nor subordinated to transnational interests in the service of empire.

International federations such as FIFA impose extraterritorial rules in order to turn football into a highly profitable business. The government acts wrongly by accepting these rules, setting aside the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States and likewise ignoring national sovereignty and the rule of law as a principle of governance, under which all persons, institutions, and entities (public and private), including the State itself, are subject to laws that are publicly enacted, equally applied, and independently enforced in order to guarantee democracy, justice, economic development, equity, equality, and human rights.

To stand with the CNTE is to demand fulfillment of its historic labor demands, which the government of Claudia Sheinbaum has refused to resolve in a substantive manner. This has forced the teachers’ movement to seek ways of countering the official narrative that delegitimizes and criminalizes its protests, portraying them as political provocations and acts of vandalism.

The Communist Party recognizes that the central demands of the democratic teachers’ movement are:

1. The repeal of the 2007 ISSSTE Law, rejection and modification of the individual retirement accounts administered by the Afores and the UMAs, and the reconstruction of a genuinely solidarity-based pension system.
2. The elimination of USICAMM, ending the evaluation and promotion mechanisms that teachers regard as punitive and harmful to their labor rights.
3. A 100% wage increase, while maintaining the demand for concrete salary improvements and an end to precarious working conditions in marginalized areas—demands that have not been fully addressed by the budget increases approved by the Executive Branch.

Thus, the ideological offensive and the official response of the current administration have sought to neutralize and divert the movement toward a violent response in order to justify increased repression. The government uses the international context and imperialist political and economic aggression as a pretext to call for the defense of national sovereignty—a sovereignty that, in practice, it does not defend.

President Sheinbaum has even gone so far as to compare CNTE mobilizations to the agendas of the “far right,” accusing them of seeking confrontation. Nothing could be more false or deceptive. The teachers’ movement has been accused of planning boycotts of major events, when in reality it has succeeded in bringing visibility to the injustices suffered by the other Mexico—the Mexico from below.

The repeal of the 2007 ISSSTE Law is entirely possible. The argument that it is not fiscally viable merely demonstrates either an inability or a lack of willingness to affect the interests of large corporations. It has been proven that implementing a tax reform directed at large fortunes would generate sufficient revenue to meet these and other demands.

The government of the Fourth Transformation (4T) should understand that turning its back on and failing to address the demands of social movements is what truly weakens and destabilizes the government and opens the door to the actions of the country’s right-wing and far-right forces, as well as international interventionists.

La Coordinadora Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación (CNTE), es la organización democrática, magisterial-popular y referente de la izquierda social, más importante, consecuente y combativa de este momento del México del siglo XXI,

El creciente desencanto popular por la desatención de las demandas sociales, laborales, de comunidades en resistencia, colectivos y madres de los más de 134 mil desaparecidos y en particular, de las expuestas por la CNTE; así como, el rechazo de las comunidades y pueblos en resistencia al entreguismo del gobierno y de la oligarquía mexicana al imperialismo yanqui y empresas transnacionales para facilitarles el despojo de territorios, recursos energéticos, mineros, hídricos, marítimos, etcétera; el control monopólico y extranjero, de esferas fundamentales para el desarrollo soberano, como el financiero, es desdeñado por la élite morenista.

Lejos de atender reclamos sociales e incluso, cumplir compromisos de campaña electoral, como derogar las reformas zedillista y calderonista, a las leyes del IMSS y del ISSSTE, las organizaciones sociales y laborales sufren los embates del gobierno actual y de la oligarquía mexicana, con sus diferentes grupos de la derecha y ultraderecha y enciende las alertas y abre las puertas a la represión que aunque declarativamente se afirma que no se caerá en provocaciones, es innegable que ya se hizo uso de armas como en Mitla Oaxaca el día 27 de mayo de 2026, del gas lacrimógeno y del tóxico polvo de extinguidores y de rifles que disparan balas de “goma” en ciudad de México los días 26 de mayo y 1 de junio de 2026, de los que se tiene constancia que sí pueden acabar con la vida de una persona, un muerto, dos heridos con uno de ellos con riesgo de perder la vista totalmente, como resultado de la supuesta no represión a los maestros.

El Partido Comunista rechaza y condena este ataque concertado como en los mejores tiempos del prianismo, contra la CNTE y los miles de profesores militantes de ella. Seguiremos acompañando sus luchas al igual que lo hacen cientos de organizaciones por todo el país, que sueñan y luchan por un país verdaderamente democrático, fuerte, soberano, patriota y nacionalista, y no colonizado ni transnacionalizado al servicio del imperio donde federaciones internacionales como la FIFA imponen sus reglas extraterritoriales para hacer del deporte del futbol un negocio muy lucrativo, hace mal el gobierno al aceptar estas reglas, haciendo la Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos a un lado y por igual ignorando la soberanía nacional y todo el estado de derecho como principio de gobernanza en el que todas las personas, instituciones y entidades (públicas y privadas), incluyendo al propio Estado, están sometidas a leyes que se promulgan públicamente, se aplican por igual y se hacen cumplir de manera independiente, de tal forma que garanticen la democracia, la justicia, el desarrollo económico, la equidad, la igualdad, y los derechos humanos.

Estar con la CNTE es exigir el cumplimiento de sus demandas laborales históricas, que el gobierno de Claudia Sheinbaum se ha negado a resolver de fondo, obligando al movimiento magisterial a buscar maneras de contrarrestar la narrativa oficial que deslegitima y criminaliza sus protestas, tildándolas desde el gobierno de provocaciones políticas y vandalismo.

En el Partido Comunista tenemos presente que las demandas centrales del magisterio democrático son:

1. La abrogación de la Ley del ISSSTE de 2007, rechazo y modificación a las cuentas individuales de las Afores y de las UMAS y la reedificación de un sistema de pensiones verdaderamente solidario.
2. La desaparición de la USICAMM: Eliminar los mecanismos de evaluación y promoción que el magisterio considera aspectos punitivos y lesivos para sus derechos laborales.
3. Aumento salarial del 100%, manteniendo la exigencia de mejoras salariales concretas y el cese de la precarización en zonas marginadas, demandas que no han sido totalmente cubiertas por los incrementos presupuestales dictados por el Ejecutivo.

Así el embate ideológico y la respuesta oficial de la actual administración ha intentado neutralizar y desviar al movimiento hacia la respuesta violenta para aumentar la represión, el gobierno utiliza el contexto internacional y las agresiones políticas y económicas imperialistas para llamar a defender la Soberanía, (que por la vía de los hechos no defiende). La presidenta Sheinbaum ha llegado a comparar las movilizaciones de la CNTE con las agendas de la “ultraderecha”, acusándolas de buscar confrontaciones, nada más falso y mentiroso. Se ha señalado al magisterio en lucha de planear boicots en eventos de gran envergadura, cuando en realidad se ha sabido visibilizar las injusticias que sufre el otro México, el de abajo.

La derogación de la Ley del ISSSTE 2007, es perfectamente posible y el argumento de que no es viable presupuestalmente, solo denota la incapacidad o falta de voluntad para afectar a las grandes empresas, pues está demostrado que la aplicación de una reforma fiscal dirigida a las grandes fortunas generaría ingresos suficientes para hacer frente a estas y otras demandas.

El Gobierno de la 4T, debería entender que el dar la espalda y no atender las demandas de los movimientos sociales, es lo que realmente debilita y desestabiliza su gobierno y abre las puertas para la actuación de las derechas y ultraderechas del país y de los intervencionistas a nivel internacional.
