Crush World War Plots and Overthrow US Imperialism!
US imperialism’s plots to provoke a war in the ‘ROK’ are becoming increasingly blatant. On October 13, Xavier Brunson, commander of US Forces Korea, formalized the deployment of the Multi-Domain Task Force (MDTF)—the US Army’s next-generation core capability—to the Korean Peninsula during a talk at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a US think tank. He made reckless statements claiming its primary mission is to secure multi-layered sensing capabilities targeted not only at the DPRK but also at China and Russia. In particular, stating, “if you just draw a line on a map, you can see the distance from Beijing to Seoul,” he thoroughly treated the ‘ROK’ as an outpost for deterring China and launching aggression. On the same day, regarding the early transfer of wartime operational control (OPCON), Brunson expressed a refusal using DPRK’s missile launches as a pretext, stating that “conditions have changed and new standards” have emerged. While criticisms were raised that “a strong protest must be made to the US side,” Minister of National Defense Kang Shin-chul succumbed to the USA with a contradictory response, stating, “Judgments on the level of condition fulfillment can change depending on perspective.”
The East Asian crisis is reaching its peak as the East Asian hegemonic strategy of US imperialism and Japan’s rearmament moves intertwine. Under the protection of US imperialism, Japanese warmongers are frantically pushing for nuclear armament moves, including the introduction of nuclear-powered submarines and the allowance of exceptions to the Three Non-Nuclear Principles after the revision of the Three Security Documents. Meanwhile, they have virtually secured “enemy base attack capabilities” by suddenly deploying aggressive long-range missiles, such as the improved Type 12 surface-to-ship missiles with a range of 1,000 km and hypersonic glide vehicles, in Kyushu and nearby garrison bases. Following its maneuvers to deploy the “Typhon” intermediate-range missile system in the Philippines and Japan, US imperialism deepening the integration of missile strike networks and strategic subordination to completely incorporate the ‘ROK’ as a forward base for an all-out war against China. The US imperialism’s expansion of the role of tactical nuclear weapons and pursuit of a new nuclear strategy—especially the plan to redeploy and station tactical nuclear weapons in the ‘ROK’ and Japan, respectively—are criminal-level actions that exactly reproduce the trigger of the Ukraine war in East Asia.
The flames of war are blazing all over the world. From September to October, civilian evacuation plans for 1 million people have been established in Poland and Lithuania, and Russia’s warning of nuclear use against NATO’s war provocations has become visible. On October 13, NATO’s annual nuclear deterrence exercise “Steadfast Noon,” involving 17 countries, began in Italy. In West Asia, on October 15, US forces are reviewing the use of super-large conventional bombs targeting Iran’s energy and nuclear facilities, further escalating military conflict. Around the Strait of Hormuz, oil tankers and container ships are being hit one after another, and military confrontation over ship attacks and maritime blockades is deepening, spreading the flames of war to regional maritime transport routes. This is exactly why the people of the world are shouting in one voice for the overthrow of imperialism.
Imperialist aggression calls for anti-imperialist struggle. The West Asian war and the Ukraine war are repeatedly expanding and intertwining with each other, and the flames are spreading to Eastern Europe and East Asia. In particular, with the export of aggressive weapons to Eastern Europe, aggressive war exercises against the DPRK, the plot to dispatch troops to the Strait of Hormuz by the ‘ROK,’ and the US imperialists’ plan to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in East Asia, the war on the ‘ROK’ has entered a countdown. The US military, the imperialist aggressor army and occupying force, must be completely withdrawn from this land. The more imperialism accelerates its aggressive war, the stronger the people’s resistance and the solidarity of the anti-imperialist camp against it will become. The people of the ‘ROK,’ who aspire to peace, will firmly unite with the world’s people, expand the joint anti-imperialist struggle, overthrow imperialism, and hasten a new world of independence and peace.
