On the evening of December 3, President Yoon Suk-yeol declared martial law. According to the Ministry of National Defense, an emergency meeting of major military commanders was convened, during which instructions were given to strengthen emergency readiness and defense posture across the armed forces.
At 10:25 PM, President Yoon delivered an emergency address at the presidential office in Yongsan, announcing:
“To protect the Republic of Korea from the threats of North Korean communist forces and to eradicate the shameless, pro-North Korea, anti-state forces that are plundering the freedom and happiness of our people, I hereby declare martial law to safeguard our constitutional order.”

The National Assembly has initiated 22 impeachment motions against government officials since our administration took office. Even after the 22nd National Assembly was inaugurated in June, impeachment proceedings against 10 officials are ongoing.
This situation is unprecedented not only in the history of the ‘Republic of Korea’ but also globally. Judges are being intimidated, prosecutors are being impeached en masse, and attempts to impeach key officials such as the Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, the Auditor General, and the Minister of Defense have paralyzed the judiciary and executive branches of the government.
The handling of the national budget has also deteriorated. Key budgets essential for the state’s core functions, such as countering drug crimes and maintaining public safety, have been entirely slashed, reducing the country to a state of chaos in public security and turning it into a drug haven.
For instance, the Democratic Party cut ₩1 trillion from the disaster response reserve fund, ₩38.4 billion from child care support allowances, and ₩4.1 trillion from youth employment and gas field development projects. Even budget allocations for improving salaries and benefits for junior military officers were obstructed.
These budgetary atrocities are nothing short of sabotaging the nation’s finances. Using the budget as a tool for political strife, the Democratic Party’s legislative dictatorship has now escalated into what can only be described as budgetary impeachment.
National governance is paralyzed, and the sighs of our citizens grow louder. This blatant disregard for the people’s livelihoods is a direct act of treason, trampling upon the constitutional order and disrupting legitimate state institutions established by the Constitution and the law.
The National Assembly, once a foundation of liberal democracy, has now become a monster aiming to dismantle the system it is supposed to uphold. This legislative dictatorship has turned the country into a hotbed of criminals, crippling the judicial and administrative systems while seeking to overthrow the liberal democratic system.
Dear patriotic citizens,
Today, the Republic of Korea stands on the verge of collapse. In this dire situation, I am declaring martial law to protect the Republic of Korea from the threats of North Korean communist forces and to eradicate the anti-state, pro-North forces plundering our people’s freedom and happiness.
Through this martial law, I will rebuild and safeguard the Republic of Korea, which has been brought to the brink of ruin. I will root out the anti-state forces that have orchestrated this national downfall and guarantee the sustainability of the nation, protecting the freedom and safety of our citizens while ensuring a proper country is handed down to future generations.
I will act swiftly to eliminate anti-state forces and normalize the nation as soon as possible. I acknowledge that the martial law may cause discomfort to law-abiding citizens who trust and uphold the constitutional values of the Republic of Korea. However, I will make every effort to minimize these inconveniences.
This measure is inevitable for the continuity of the Republic of Korea and does not alter our commitment to fulfilling our responsibilities and contributions on the international stage.
As your president, I earnestly plead with you. I am fully dedicated to protecting the Republic of Korea and will devote my life to this mission. Please place your trust in me.
The People’s Democracy Party of ‘Republic of Korea’ announced its statement against the fascist situation of the ‘ROK’ on recent Dakar international conference
…
Political repression of the PDP is a decisive sign of “wartime martial law” and “fascist coup”. Yoon Suk-yeol has been provoking the local war with aggressive actions against DPRK, while he appointed fascists of his private faction, “Chungam”, to key military and political positions related to the enforcement of martial law. It has recently been revealed that military commanders, who would play key roles in the event of martial law, secretly had a meeting. Under the current situation where World War 3 is being developed and the East Asian War and the Western Pacific War are imminent, Yoon Suk-yeol, abandoned by the people, is trying to evade his crisis by provoking a war and implementing martial law. This is a malicious and typical tactic that is also confirmed by the pro-US fascists in Eastern Europe and West Asia (Middle East). The miserable ends of past fascists in “ROK”, who were shot down, impeached, and imprisoned, illustrate what the fascist Yoon Suk-yeol’s fate may be. The awakened and united people of “ROK” rising up together with their full energy in the people’s uprising against Yoon Suk-yeol, and overthrowing him is both just and inevitable. (Full text)
