PRESIDENT, DO NOT TARGET THE BOLSHEVIKS
The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia expresses its deep disagreement with the recent statement made by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who accused “plenary Bolsheviks” of the violence that occurred in front of the Radio-Television of Serbia. This statement is not only unfounded, but it represents a dangerous attempt at manipulation and abuse of political discourse in the country, as well as another in a series of attacks on communists.
In addition to targeting the Bolsheviks, President Vučić, with this statement, has shown a basic level of ignorance, as the “Plenums” held within the framework of anarcho-liberal, so-called direct democratic plenums have nothing to do with plenary sessions of communist parties. Not only is it inaccurate to associate these plenums with communist ideology, but it is also historically incorrect to claim that the Soviets, or any form of socialist government, had anything to do with anarcho-liberal plenums that operate within the current protests at universities.
This is yet another in a series of attempts to spread permanent propaganda against Bolsheviks and communists, which has recently become routine for regime tabloid media. Thus, President Aleksandar Vučić, together with Ana Brnabić, has joined Branislav Lečić, Čedomir Antić, Aleksandar Šapić, and other former apologists of the Democratic Party and leaders of anti-communist protests, who plundered the working people and now lead anti-communist propaganda in regime tabloid media.
The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia reminds President Vučić that this statement insults socialist China (where the Communist Party of China is in power), whose steel friendship he constantly swears by.
The NKPJ believes that it is not surprising that the current anti-people government is leading an anticommunist campaign. This is expected because, like all previous governments in the past 25 years, it has nothing to offer the people. All major energy projects in Serbia were built during socialism (the last one being Đerdap II in 1988). The infrastructure of universities, as well as numerous student dormitories and facilities, were mostly built during the socialist period, when the state invested in education and cultural needs for the masses. Today, 35 years after the counter-revolution, all governments together are unable to even repaint what communists built, let alone build new universities and accompanying facilities.
The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia is proud of the legacy of the Bolsheviks and communists, who throughout history have had a creative approach to society. As communists, we believe that there are deep class problems in our society that require a creative and progressive approach. The cause of these problems is counter-revolutionary processes that have plundered our people and the permanent anti-people policy that is continuously carried out with the arrival of anti-communists to power, with the aim of making the rich even richer and the poor even poorer.
The NKPJ emphasizes that such accusations by Vučić, without foundation and argumentation, will not scare us. On the contrary, it only strengthens us, as we communists have been accustomed throughout history to being targeted, persecuted, and attacked for our ideas and our struggle. In this context, we will not stop but will continue the fight for justice, equality, and progress. President Vučić, we call on you to stop targeting and demonizing the Bolsheviks and communists, and remind you that communists are people of special character, and the anti-communist hysteria that reigns in the tabloid regime media will not intimidate us!
