The 3rd International Peace Conference was held in Tangier, Morocco from 2 to 4 May. The conference was co-hosted by the International Initiative for PeaceĀ STOP WW3 and the Party of Progress and Socialism.
The first International Peace Conference was held in October 2023 in Rome.
The conference, which was attended by more 60 delegations from about 30 countries, held heated discussions on solidarity and struggle among the peoples of the world against the imperialist powers in Palestine, West Asia (Middle East), Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
On the first day, first session began with the opening ceremony. About 20 organizations presented and discussed the topics of the Gaza War, the Axis of Resistance, Palestine, and the Future of Resistance. āFree Free Palestine!ā chants erupted from the audience during the speeches.
STOP WW3 said, āDespite the cruel genocide, Israel lost the Battle of Gaza. The victory achieved by the Palestinian Resistance will remain engraved in the history of humanity. However, the War will continue, as shown by the Zionist policy of colonization of the West Bank, and because of the Trump administrationās open support for Israel.ā
On second day, speeches and discussions began under the topics: second session āRegional changes in the Middle East and the Role of External Powersā, third session āRussia: the war in Ukraine, prospects for Peace in the shadow of NATO threatsā, fourth session āLatin America facing US treatsā, fifth session āthe arms race and the future of the European continentā.
STOP WW3 emphasized, ā the European Union is continuing their war drive against Russia. In a global context in which threats to humanity are destined to increase, it is an absolute priority for popular resistance, democratic and socialist forces to join forces to counter imperialism and build a great global movement for peace.ā
Third day, sixth session āthe struggle for peace and the fight against neocolonialism in Africaā, seventh session āTrumpism, tariffs, and the role of China and the BRICS countriesā were began.
The delegation of the World Anti-imperialist Platform read the article by Stephen Cho, organizer of the World Anti-imperialist Platform and Coordinator of the Korea International Forum: āThe most important point to understand the background of the Trumpās ātariff warā is the āTriffinās Dilemmaā. The dollar hegemony is on the agenda at the BRICS summit in July. Without global hegemony, few economists are optimistic that the US can manage its astronomical fiscal deficit and trade deficit or prevent hyperinflation of the dollar.ā
And āThe economic crisis, including the debt of Western imperialism, including the US, has long crossed the line. Under the conditions that the G7 is falling and the BRICS is rising, imperialism is making its last stand by usingNATO as a front before the Shanghai Cooperation Organization becomes stronger. In particular, āNATO’s pacificizationā, which is the final version of āNATO’s eastward policyā, has been actively pursued to cause the wars in East Asia and the Western Pacific. The Trump administrationās “tariff war” and non-interventionist policies have intensified internal contradictions within the imperialist camp, further provoking the warmongering forces of imperialism to instigate war provocations more frequently, more aggressively, and more recklessly.ā
Finally, āThe civil war and the war in the āROKāprovoked by imperialism and fascism will become a turning point for revolution, accelerating the arrival of a new world without imperialism and fascismāa new society centered on the people. A liberated āROK,ā advancing toward independent reunification together with the DPRK, will proudly stand at the forefront of the anti-imperialist camp, fulfilling the righteous tasks of the era with honor. Under the banner of anti-imperialism and the cause of justice, the united and unyielding struggle of the people of the world will lead to certain final victory.ā
The participants continued to discuss the changed world situation after Trump’s election.
The last session, the organizers read the conclusion of the conference and ended the International Peace Conference.

- Its rejection of the expansion of the war in Europe and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and its call for ending them through political means that guarantee the rights and future of peoples. ā Its condemnation of NATOās expansion and its attempts to extend its control over areas in Eastern Europe, and its threats of war against the Russian Federation.

- Its solidarity with the Latin American countries targeted by American imperialism, especially Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and its call to lift the unjust sanctions against the Cuban and Venezuelan peoples and respect their independent sovereignty.
- Its quest for ending capitalist globalisation and the free trade regime designed to serve imperialist interest.
- Its rejection of all foreign interference in both the Middle East and Africa, and its emphasis on the need to respect the sovereignty of states and their territorial integrity, and in this context, affirming the necesity for a final political and just solution for the conflict in Sahara.
