On June 20, a meeting and lecture was held between the representative of the People’s Democracy Party (PDP) and the World Anti-Imperialist Youth Platform.
The PDP representative stated, “Scientific analysis of the situation is necessary for the establishment of revolutionary strategy,” and added, “Lenin analyzed the essence of the situation during World War 1 based on scientific analysis. He perceived it as a war among imperialist powers and established the revolutionary strategy of ‘Turn Imperialist War Into Civil War!’” He continued, “The reason we analyze the current situation of World War 3 is to establish the strategy for world revolution.”
He further explained, “When World War 1 broke out in 1914, the theory of ultra-imperialism emerged. Despite the war already having started, Karl Kautsky presented an incorrect outlook, leading to despair within the international communist movement. In 1915, Lenin convened a meeting and, through scientific analysis of the situation, formulated a strategy, later writing Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism. The communist forces united around scientific theory.” He then remarked, “Our current situation is similar to that time. Today, the Communist Party of Greece is causing confusion and division in the international communist movement with its theory of the ‘imperialist pyramid’.”
At the same time, he highlighted the significance of organizing the World Anti-Imperialist Platform in this period, analyzing scientific theories and continuing revolutionary practice. Furthermore, he asserted that the current situation can be described in one word: World War 3, and that this World War 3 is fundamentally an anti-imperialist war.
He went on to state, “The goal that the imperialist forces seek to achieve through World War 3 is the establishment of a new Cold War system.” He emphasized, “The construction of this new Cold War system arises from conditions in which the imperialists are no longer granted the political, economic, or military capabilities to eliminate their adversaries. It can be seen as a strategy of retreat—a retreating tactic resulting from their decline in political, economic, and military power. It is a passive strategy aimed at preserving their own order and maintaining the global hegemony they once held during the previous Cold War.”
He further explained, “The Pacificization of NATO has long been in preparation. In August 2023, the US, Japan, and the “Republic of Korea (ROK)” effectively decided on a trilateral military alliance—an ‘Asian version of NATO’—through the Camp David Summit. In July 2024, the Washington NATO Summit Declaration finalized the political groundwork. From June to August 2024, military preparations were completed through the war exercises ‘Freedom Edge’, ‘RIMPAC’, and ‘Ulchi Freedom Shield’.” He concluded his analysis by stating that “The storm of World War 3, launched by imperialism, is sweeping from Eastern Europe, through West Asia (the Middle East), to East Asia and the Western Pacific.”
He emphasized that “the basic strategy of the anti-imperialist front is ‘strategic patience’. For example, the reason war has not yet broken out is that countries like the DPRK and China are exercising strategic patience. Russia and Iran are also doing the same. However, as the intensity of enemy provocations increases, there is a limit to that patience.” He went on to explain that “Each individual war does not break out by coincidence, but follows a certain pattern within the grand strategy of World War 3,” offering an analysis of the situation on each front.
He concluded by stating, “On the Ukrainian and East Asian fronts, the DPRK, China, and Russia are positioned. In order to ignite the flames of World War 3, they are desperately attacking the weak link—Iran.” He added, “The imperialist forces continue to seek new proxy actors, pushing them toward fascism and ongoing provocations. In this context, the situation is serious enough that even international comrades are under threat of being shot.” He stressed, “Our role is to unite with communist movements around the world and actively carry out the struggle.”
After a Q&A session, the lecture concluded with enthusiastic applause from the participants.
