Their subjective action, under the anti-positivist teaching of Lenin and Gramsci, can overthrow the power of capital and open a new world for humanity. In the current time and in our initiative, in brief, four points underlie the decision to establish with the working class, the labour movement as a whole, intellectuals, young people, and women, a political instrument, a Communist Party, with the ambition of being both avant-garde and popular, revolutionary and mass-based:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">&#8211; Italy is under the domination of US-led imperialism; the more than one hundred US and NATO military bases deployed throughout the country represent a veritable occupation army. Italy needs to relaunch, in strong and unitarian way, the fight against imperialism, against war, and for Italy&#8217;s exit from NATO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">&#8211; The European Union is, at the same time, a historical fiction and a neo-imperialist pole under construction; it was not formed on the basis of a unified push by the European states and peoples, but was formed through the push of large-scale European transnational capital, intent, after the self-dissolution of the USSR, on participating in the inter-imperialist struggle for the conquest of world markets, initiating a new process of capitalistic accumulation and lowering the cost of goods through the \u201cclassic\u201d strategic line of capital, reducing wages, destroying rights, and the welfare state, on a continental scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In response to this liberal and militarized EU, of exploitation and war, it is necessary to organize the necessary struggles and build, through the social conflict, a common sense of mass support for Italy&#8217;s exit from the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">&#8211; This vast neoliberal phenomenon, ideologically imposed as a \u201cnatural phenomenon\u201d, has been compounded by two major events: on the one hand, the abandonment, by the successive Italian governments over the past decades, of any plan and program to revitalize Italian industry, which has resulted in a dramatic process of deindustrialization of the country; on the other hand, in the wake of deindustrialization itself, we have witnessed powerful processes of imperialist penetration in Italy, both within industrial and financial systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In January 2026, the militants and leaders of thirteen communist organizations, including the &#8220;Movement for the Communist Rebirth&#8221; and &#8220;Popular Resistance&#8221;, along with workers leaders and cadres, and intellectuals active throughout the country, after years of united work, decided to form the Communist Party of Popular Unity. Our party &#8211; which was not formed through a split, but, on the contrary, through relevant unifying processes, which occurred on a homogeneous ideological basis, under the banner of Marxism and Leninism &#8211; has already given a contribution to reverse the disastrous trend toward division and atomization of the communist movement in Italy. Precisely because of its autonomous birth, free from direct party political inheritance, it can develop its own reflection on the historical phase and the communist and revolutionary proposal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Our Party can and wants to equip itself with a thought and practice not as the \u201ctail\u201d of a split, but as the result of free, autonomous reflection, which, starting from the foundations of all great historical communist and workers&#8217; thought worldwide, actualizes its own analytical and practical line in the evolving reality of the world today, the time of the increasingly escalating Third world war and the ever more incisive affirmation of the multipolar world. Thus, it wants to contribute to the resolution of the vast Italian communist crisis that has perpetuated itself over the last forty years. They pushed us to take the initiative to build this process of unity of the communists throughout the country and to structure a political instrument to the class struggle and the popular movement against the imperialist war with the unwavering slogan: \u00abItaly out of NATO and EU\u00bb!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Against any complicity by Italy in genocide and imperialist wars!&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">National Secretariat of the Communist Party of Popular Unity (Partito Comunista di Unit\u00e0 Popolare, Italia)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-partito-comunista-di-unit-popolare wp-block-embed-partito-comunista-di-unit-popolare\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"2Ciqr7h3ix\"><a href=\"https:\/\/movimentorinascitacomunista.com\/2026\/04\/15\/contro-ogni-complicita-dellitalia-con-il-genocidio-e-con-le-guerre-dellimperialismo\/\">Contro ogni complicit\u00e0 dell\u2019Italia con il genocidio e con le guerre dell\u2019imperialismo<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"&#8220;Contro ogni complicit\u00e0 dell\u2019Italia con il genocidio e con le guerre dell\u2019imperialismo&#8221; &#8212; Partito Comunista di Unit\u00e0 Popolare\" src=\"https:\/\/movimentorinascitacomunista.com\/2026\/04\/15\/contro-ogni-complicita-dellitalia-con-il-genocidio-e-con-le-guerre-dellimperialismo\/embed\/#?secret=sFw3YPhT2g#?secret=2Ciqr7h3ix\" data-secret=\"2Ciqr7h3ix\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Unable to maintain its hegemony, grappling with a profound economic, social, and even value-based crisis, defeated on the battlefield by the extraordinary Iranian resistance, which successfully defended itself from US and Zionist aggression and forced the US to propose a ceasefire, imperialism, faced with its own deepening crisis and increasingly intractable contradictions, nevertheless shows its most inhuman and violent face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The US unleashes one war after another, looming large over the entire Western Hemisphere, increasingly reducing its so-called allies, including Italy, to the status of courtiers and vassals, striking Nigeria, attacking Yemen, attacking Iran, while simultaneously demonstrating its fullest support for the State of Israel&#8217;s plan to exterminate the Palestinian people, in the service of the supremacist plan for a &#8220;Greater Israel&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The State of Israel, in turn, is carrying out the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, amidst scant criticism and widespread complicity from Western powers, the EU, and NATO. It is launching attacks throughout the region, in southern Syria, against Lebanon, against Yemen, and is sabotaging any possibility of even a fragile ceasefire in Iran, committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Lebanese people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">For Italy, complicity with the US and the very presence of over one hundred US and NATO military bases on Italian land not only represent an impediment to an autonomous and independent foreign policy, in line with the needs and interests of the popular masses and workers of our country; they also represent a risk that, as the very unfolding of the war in Iran has shown, exposes our country to the unpredictable consequences of the US war plans and unrestrained aggression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Complicity with Israel, responsible for genocide, places complicit States in a politically, legally, and, ultimately, ethically untenable position. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for war crimes and crimes against humanity against Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Gallant. Several UN authorities have condemned the actions of the State of Israel as genocide. Participation in the war and <em>de facto<\/em> complicity in the genocide are in strident contradiction with the most fundamental principles of humanity, justice, and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">As the Communist Party of Popular Unity, together with all forces sincerely devoted to peace and social justice, we have repeatedly reaffirmed the fundamental principles of our struggle: an immediate end to the genocide and aggression in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran; full support for the Palestinian people&#8217;s struggle for resistance and liberation; the release of prisoners and the right of return of Palestinian refugees; full recognition of the right to self-determination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">And also, the relaunch of the campaign for boycott, divestment, and sanctions over Israel; the immediate termination of all twinning relationships with Israel by local authorities; against any absurd, unsustainable, and unconceivable equating of anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism, advanced with the sole aim of delegitimizing the fight against the occupation and colonization of Palestinian territory; a cessation of arms exports to Israel, and legitimate economic and military sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">These latter, moreover, are increasingly urgent political and social issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The Italian Constitution, with art. 11 and the repudiation of war \u00abas an instrument of aggression against the freedom of other peoples and as a means of resolution of international disputes\u00bb and the regulatory framework, with Law 185\/1990 and the Arms Trade Treaty in force since 2014, prohibit the supply of weapons to countries engaged in war policies and responsible for serious human rights violations. This is a basic issue of law and justice: it is not just about respect for law, but specifically about the fight against the criminal power projection by Imperialism and Zionism, alongside the struggles of people for their freedom and rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">As Communist Party of Popular Unity, we support all campaigns and initiatives consistently on the side of the resistance of the peoples fighting against imperialism; the initiatives and activities of the BDS campaign for boycott, divestment, and sanctions against Israel; the suspension of military cooperation and the purchase and sale of arms with and from Israel; and the suspension of the EU-Israel Partnership Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">This is a crucial area of \u200b\u200bcivilization and justice that will see communists constantly engaged, in building a broad popular and mass front, for the broadest popular mobilization in defence of demands of peace and justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Out of NATO and EU, work and class struggle back at the centre, for social transformation, for Socialism!
