On January 14, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a telephone conversation with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, mentioned that he “warned of the consequences of the irresponsible and dangerous behavior of the United States and the Zionist regime, for regional security.”
He further condemned Washington’s “provocative statements” as “blatant interference in the internal affairs,” emphasizing that “the determination of the Iranian people to defend the national sovereignty of their country, to protect its security and dignity from any foreign interference and threat.”
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it has significantly increased ballistic missile production following clashes with Israel and the US last June. Major General Majid Mousavi, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, mentioned that the air force has now entered a state of full combat readiness.
Previously, while Donald Trump stated that he is seriously considering the use of force against Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, warned that if the US attacks, Iran will retaliate by striking Israeli and US military facilities in West Asia (the Middle East).
