Defeat Imperialism Trembling Women’s Dignity and Lives!

Women of the world are being brutally persecuted by imperialist forces and their fascist lackeys. On February 28, imperialist US and Zionist Israel began a war of aggression against Iran. They bombed a girls’ primary school in Minab in southern Iran, brutally killing 175 people. The overwhelming majority were young schoolgirls around their early teens. The origin of this bombing was reportedly the Al Dhafra US Air Force Base in the United Arab Emirates. This brutal massacre of civilians was reaffirmed by Israel’s airstrike targeting a university in Tehran. The US State Department has approved the sale of 12,000 aerial bombs to Israel, encouraging mass slaughter. Currently, of the officially recorded 72,100 deaths in the Gaza Strip of Palestine—and unofficially well over 200,000 victims of massacre—about 70% are women and children. Women are being killed by imperialist aggressors, and mothers are suffering extreme pain as their motherhood itself is threatened.

US imperialism also began the new year by invading Venezuela, openly presenting itself as a brazen criminal act. Together with the head of the Venezuelan anti-imperialist popular government, Nicolás Maduro, a well-known female activist, Cilia Flores, was violently abducted and illegally arrested. Flores suffered fractured ribs and, even while standing at the crossroads of life and death, enduring immense pain, has never bowed her dignity and fighting spirit, continuing to struggle against US imperialism. Meanwhile, due to the Trump administration’s policy of isolation and suffocation aimed at overthrowing the anti-imperialist government of Cuba, more than 22,800 pregnant women and over 61,000 infants and young children are suffering without receiving proper medical treatment. Trump’s election interference to turn Latin America into a “backyard,” the “Blue Tide,” and the rise of pro-American fascist regimes inevitably gravely infringe upon women’s political and economic rights. The women and peoples of Latin America are resolutely fighting against the recolonization by the United States.

In Africa, amid civil wars, violence, and conflicts, women’s human rights are being destroyed day by day. In particular, in the three Sahel countries that expelled US and French imperialist troops, pro-American terrorist groups—including ISIS, which grew large under US imperialism—are artificially creating social chaos, intensifying terrorism and crimes against civilians. In Burkina Faso, the number of kidnappings of women and girls has more than doubled over the past 18 months, and women living in areas controlled by terrorist organizations are constantly exposed to inhumane threats. In Kenya, the pro-American fascist regime that viciously abducted and illegally detained Comrade Booker Omole, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Kenya– Marxist, has, since 2024 until now, massacred and suppressed anti-government protesters while simultaneously carrying out brutal acts of violence, kidnapping, and murder against women using criminal gangs in order to spread fear.

Imperialists are paralyzing women’s political consciousness by imposing anti-feminist ideas upon women in general. These imperialist predators place the stigma of “human rights violators” on anti-imperialist countries and manipulate opportunist forces, distorting women’s issues into mere gender issues and widely spreading misguided views. International Women’s Day, March 8, has its origins in the early 20th century struggles for women’s suffrage, labor rights, organizational rights, and peace, as well as in the 1917 strike of Russian women workers demanding an end to the war and the achievement of economic rights. Our women, who have emerged onto the full stage of society as masters of politics and the economy, today call for the overthrow of imperialism in opposition to the wars of aggression, violence, and massacres caused by imperialism. On the path toward national liberation, class liberation, and human liberation, our women will accomplish women’s liberation through their own strength. The oppressed and exploited women of the world will unite and struggle to bring imperialism to an end and to hasten the coming of a new world of independence and peace, where women’s dignity and rights are fully respected.
