10th International Anti-imperialist Conference in Nairobi – 1st session

On May 9, the 10th International Anti-imperialist Conference of the World Anti-imperialist Platform, titled “Anti-imperialism and Anti-fascism in Africa,” was held in Nairobi, Kenya, jointly hosted  with the Communist Party Marxist – Kenya (CPMK).

The first session opened with a solidarity message from the Venezuelan Ambassador to Kenya and a video presentation by the CPMK. This was followed by a series of speeches from Booker Omole, General Secretary of the CPMK; Philippe Noudjènoumè, Chairperson of the West African Peoples’ Organization (WAPO); Gadam Kadzo of the South African Secretariat of Pan-Africanism Today (PAT); Vanogodé Dosso, Member of the Dynamics for Pan-African Unity (DUP) and a  Political Board Member of the Ligue Panafricaine UMOJA (LP-U); the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (AAPRP); and the PAIGC of Guinea-Bissau.

Following these, video presentations were delivered by Paolo Babini, International Department member of CARC Party (Italy), the Communist Party of Ecuador, and Aleksandar Đeni큓, Executive Secretary of the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ).

Written contributions were also submitted by Aleksandar Đeni큓 (NKPJ); Eastern Initiative (Poland); Aymeric Monville of the OCF (France); Jozef Bossuyt, Political Bureau Member of the Communist Party of Belgium; Saïd Fekkak, Head of International Relations for the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS, Morocco); Miguel Alexander De Escobar, Representative of the Rafael Aguiñada Carranza Coordination of Professional and Union Associations (CIRAC, El Salvador); Jorge Gálvez, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Chile; and Eduardo Hernández of the Communist Party (Mexico).
