10th International Anti-imperialist Conference in Nairobi – 2nd session


On May 9, the 10th International Anti-imperialist Conference of the World Anti-imperialist Platform, titled “Anti-imperialism and Anti-fascism in Africa,” was held in Nairobi, Kenya, jointly hosted  with the Communist Party Marxist – Kenya (CPMK).

In the second session, video presentations were delivered by Struggle Unity (Türkiye) and Stefan Petrov, International Committee Member of the September 23 Movement (Bulgaria). These were followed by speeches from Eleonore Koffi, Central Committee Member of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist); Lea-Sophia Wagner of KO (Germany); the URC (France); Adison Joseph, International Department Member of the South Sudan Communist Party (SSCP); the Communist League of Uganda (CLU); Mafa Kwanisai Mafa, National Representative of the Zimbabwe Movement of Pan-African Socialists; and Nidol Salami of the Communist Party of Benin.

The session reached its climax with the proclamation of solidarity statements for Mali by the West African Peoples’ Organization (WAPO) and for Kenya by the Communist Party Marxist – Kenya (CPMK).

Following the statements, participants erupted into chants: “Stop the repression against CPMK!”, “Stop the threats against Comrade Booker Omole!”, “Stop abductions and political repression in Kenya!”, “Down with imperialism and neo-colonialism!”, “Long live Proletarian Internationalism!”, and “A luta continua (The struggle continues)!” The session concluded with participants singing a revolutionary song: “Are you ready for Socialism?”
