Statement of Solidarity and Denunciation regarding the Arrests in Nairobi, Kenya

We denounce the actions ordered and carried out by the regime of William Ruto in Nairobi, Kenya, and stand in firm solidarity with our comrades delegated to the “10th International Anti-Imperialist Conference.”

We denounce and condemn the violent arrest of our comrades—members of the international delegation of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform (WAP) as well as national members of the Communist Party of Kenya (Marxist-Leninist)—who were participating in the “10th International Anti-Imperialist Conference” held in Nairobi, Kenya, starting on May 9.

The arrests were carried out by police and military forces of the William Ruto regime during a peaceful closing march of the conference, titled “Against the France-Africa Summit.”

Among those detained are: Lee Sang-hoon, member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP); Joti Brar, representative of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist); Dimitrios Patelis, founding member of the Revolutionary Theory Group of Greece; and Song Dan-bi, director of the International Department of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

We stand in solidarity with all our comrades and demand their immediate release, as well as full respect for their physical and mental integrity.

We alert the peoples of the world that these actions reflect a fascist ideology being imposed to halt the decline of imperialism. We call upon everyone to organize and resist until imperialism and its fascist regimes are defeated.

Hacemos un llamado a organizarnos y resistir hasta derrotar al Imperialismo y sus regímenes fascistas.
