[Statement of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform]

We Will Fight Imperialism and Fascism Without the Slightest Surrender

At around 8 a.m. on May 15 in Nairobi, all five members of the international delegation were released. Among those released were Lee Sang-hun, former president of the People’s Democracy Party; Joti Brar, chair of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist); Dimitrios Patelis, a founding member of the Revolutionary Theory Group (Greece); and Song Danbee, deputy director of the international department of the People’s Democracy Party — all key members of the World Anti-imperialist Platform. What does it mean that, in the 21st century, peaceful demonstrators were illegally arrested and detained for 69 hours without warrants or trial? What does it mean that on May 13, Kenyan police threatened members of the Communist Party Marxist Kenya and mass activists with gunfire during their legitimate and peaceful protest visit? We experienced with our own bodies what kind of society Kenya is and what kind of regime the Ruto government represents. Yet no fascist repression, however brutal, can block our path forward.

The infamous fascist Ruto regime must immediately release all political prisoners and halt all repression against the progressive movement at once. As fellow victims of the fascistic brutality of the Ruto regime, we proclaim this clearly and proudly. The Ruto regime must immediately stop acting as a puppet of imperialism and cease suppressing the people’s legitimate social and liberation movements with the fascist club. If the Ruto fascist regime refuses to learn from history and continues down the road of pro-imperialism, comprador, and fascism, it will not be able to escape the determined resistance of the people. As reality itself already demonstrates, this great current of the people cannot be stopped by any methods of fascism. Just as French imperialism is being driven out of the Sahel region, fascist Ruto cannot escape the same fate.

Just as countless anti-imperialist political organizations across the world joined the struggle for the delegation’s release, they will also stand together with the anti-imperialist and anti-fascist struggle of the Communist Party Marxist Kenya. On the just path toward democracy for the Kenyan people and national independence for Kenya, the World Anti-imperialist Platform will fight side by side with the Communist Party Marxist Kenya until the day of final victory. The 10th International Anti-imperialist Conference and the International Anti-imperialist Colloquium, jointly held by the World Anti-imperialist Platform and the Communist Party Marxist Kenya, proclaimed before the world the truth that revolutionary Pan-Africanism, anti-imperialism, and internationalism are one and inseparable. In accordance with that declaration and conclusion, we are convinced that the Kenyan people, the peoples of Africa, and the peoples of the world will unite firmly as one on the world anti-imperialist front to defeat imperialism and fascism and hasten the day of national liberation, class liberation, and human liberation. We will fight imperialism and fascism without the slightest surrender, and we will surely win.
