Manifesto of the Movement of Solidarity with the Cuban Revolution in Madrid
Imposing the destruction of a people is called genocide, and that is what Yankee imperialism has done to Cuba for more than 60 years. The motive: to annul the sovereignty of its Revolution, which has been and is of the people, and for that reason they need to continuously suffocate it until attempting to achieve its surrender. When violence is exercised in this way, at the service of politics, it is called terrorism, and that is what Yankee imperialism has practiced for more than 60 years with its genocidal blockade.
The current regime of global violence of imperialism has become extreme with the Trump administration. For two years, states have been complicit witnesses to the extermination of the Palestinian people with the cruelest methods. They have attacked Venezuela and Iran and threaten all peoples who do not submit. We find how imperialism is acquiring characters of a global fascism that at the international level is more war and appropriation of resources, more spending on weapons and less on health and education. And at the local level, more censorship, more persecutions and racism, and more fascists occupying the streets. Not acting is ceding space to them, it is granting them victory; only when we go out to the streets to protest and oppose do we manage to stop their violence. Facing fascism, whose global threat is increasingly greater, it is necessary to raise the flag of solidarity; it is time for anti-fascists and anti-imperialists to go out to defend internationalism, to defend the sovereignty of peoples, to fight against imperialism and break forever the blockade that chokes the Cuban people.
For decades, the Cuban Revolution has deployed a model solidarity with brigades of doctors and teachers in Africa and in Latin America. Not without difficulties, the Cuban Revolution has managed to develop its own vaccine against COVID. It has guaranteed universal, free, and quality healthcare and education, which is precisely what capitalism destroys today, as we see perfectly in Madrid. In summary, the Cuban Revolution has made possible a model of development and of relations with other peoples that is today more necessary than ever. Supporting Cuba is protecting internationalist solidarity, healthcare, education, a rational and sustainable development, peace without concessions, relations with mutual respect; it is defending the sovereignty of peoples, it is defending a just order, precisely the opposite of what today, with threats and violence, imperialism imposes on us with its fascist policies. Defending Cuba and its Revolution against the blockade is defending the sovereignty of peoples. It is a necessary defense of everything that they want to snatch from us today with their anti-social policies.

Imponer la destrucción de un pueblo se llama genocidio, y es lo que durante más de 60 años el imperialismo yanki ha hecho con Cuba. El motivo: anular la soberanía de su Revolución, que ha sido y es del pueblo y por eso necesitan asfixiarlo continuamente hasta intentar lograr su rendición. Cuando la violencia se ejerce así, al servicio de la política, se llama terrorismo, y eso es lo que ha practicado el imperialismo yanki durante más de 60 años con su bloqueo genocida.
El régimen actual de violencia global del imperialismo se ha extremado con la administración Trump. Los estados han sido testigos cómplices desde hace dos años del exterminio del pueblo palestino con los métodos más crueles. Han atacado Venezuela e Irán y amenazan a todos los pueblos que no se someten. Encontramos cómo el imperialismo está adquiriendo caracteres de un fascismo global que a nivel internacional es más guerra y apropiación de recursos, más gastos en armas y menos en sanidad y educación. Y a nivel local, más censura, más persecuciones y racismo, y más fascistas ocupando las calles. No actuar es cederles espacio, es concederles la victoria; solo cuando salimos a las calles a protestar y oponernos logramos parar su violencia. Frente el fascismo, cuya amenaza global es cada vez mayor, es necesario levantar la bandera de la solidaridad, es momento de que los antifascistas y los antiimperialistas salgamos a defender el internacionalismo, a defender la soberanía de los pueblos, a luchar contra el imperialismo y romper para siempre el bloqueo que ahoga al pueblo cubano.
Durante décadas, la Revolución cubana ha desplegado una solidaridad modélica con brigadas de médicos y profesores en África y en América Latina. No sin dificultades, la Revolución cubana ha logrado desarrollar su propia vacuna contra la COVID. Ha garantizado una sanidad y una educación universales, gratuitas y de calidad, lo que precisamente hoy destruye el capitalismo, como vemos perfectamente en Madrid. En resumen, la Revolución cubana ha hecho posible un modelo de desarrollo y de relaciones con otros pueblos que es hoy más necesario que nunca. Apoyar a Cuba es proteger la solidaridad internacionalista, la sanidad, la educación, un desarrollo racional y sostenible, la paz sin concesiones, las relaciones con respeto mutuo, es defender la soberanía de los pueblos, es defender un orden justo, precisamente lo contrario que hoy, con amenazas y violencia, nos impone el imperialismo con sus políticas fascistas. Defender a Cuba y a su Revolución contra el bloqueo, es defender la soberanía de los pueblos. Es una defensa necesaria de todo lo que hoy nos quieren arrebatar con sus políticas antisociales.
