Solidarity with the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, victim of a new fascistic attack!

As the Pole of Communist Renaissance in France was preparing to participate in an anti-NATO summit organized in Istanbul by the leaders of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, we were informed by the latter that a ferocious repression by the fascistic power of Erdogan has befallen several comrades, two days before the start of this summit. Indeed, the campsite of the young members of the Platform against Imperialism was the target of a large wave of arrests, even though no propaganda material had been deployed in the street.
This new fascistic repression is reminiscent of the one that already targeted the comrades of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform last May, when several leaders of communist parties were brutally arrested by Kenyan police forces – at the very moment when the despot Macron was seeking to redeploy the forces of Françafrique in the English-speaking part of the continent.
It is difficult not to see in this new repression an obvious cooperation of the reactionary and fascistic regimes in power to ferociously clamp down on the progressive anti-imperialist forces, with the equally obvious complicity of NATO, of which Turkey has been a member since 1952. It is to be feared that this kind of police raid will happen again later.
This will not prevent the Pole for a Communist Renaissance in France, a participant in the World Anti-Imperialist Platform, from continuing its anti-imperialist and anti-fascist commitment to the parties involved in this struggle and from contributing to the vitality of the Platform. Consequently, the PRCF will participate in the alternative solution the Platform has come up with in view of the necessary security measures.
Which is why the PRCF condemns in the strongest possible terms this new fascistic attack, a new sign of an unprecedented creeping fascism that is befalling the world from Washington to Ankara, from Buenos Aires to Tel Aviv, from Paris to Kiev, and more generally within the European Union and what is commonly called the “Western world”. A repression that clearly reflects the feverishness of the EU-NATO imperialist order, which is increasingly contested by sovereign peoples, from socialist Cuba and Venezuela to the Korean peninsula, including the Palestinians and the Iranians.
Beyond that, the PRCF reaffirms its total solidarity and once again sends its fraternal greetings to the leaders and members of the World Anti-Imperialist Platform as well as to all the peoples fighting against US hegemony and all its proxies – chiefly the EU, the imperialisms of Europe, Israel and pro-Nazi Ukraine. The PRCF also insists on the urgent need to rebuild an international communist movement capable of effectively fighting imperialism-capitalism which spreads misery, chaos and wars everywhere, with the risk of a generalized nuclear conflagration on the Russian-Ukrainian front.
