Address by the PRCF at the Conference for Solidarity with Korea

Dear comrades,
Thank you very much for the invitation and for organizing this gathering at a time when US imperialism and its allies are once again marching toward a world war—a war that could annihilate all life on Earth.
According to US officer Conrad Crane, 73 years ago, the US Air Force “wreaked terrible destruction across North Korea. An assessment of bombing damage at the time of the armistice revealed that of the country’s 22 major cities, 18 had been at least half-destroyed.” For his part, Air Force General Curtis LeMay declared: “We burned down every city in North Korea and South Korea alike.”
Yet this destructive rage, characteristic of the United States, was not enough for the infamous General MacArthur, commander-in-chief of imperialist troops during the conflict. In a text published after his death, he boasted of having devised a plan to win the war in ten days: “I would have dropped about thirty atomic bombs, going all out along the border with Manchuria.” His successor during the war, General Ridgway, went even further, calling for 38 atomic bombs.
Fortunately, the politicians leading the United States at the time refused, as they fully understood that the consequences of such a nuclear attack were incalculable. However, it is deeply alarming that exterminationists like MacArthur and Ridgway could have held such positions of responsibility within the military establishment.
Furthermore, what can be said of today’s US political leaders? Trump is a crude brute, notoriously suffering from dementia. His Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth—who has proclaimed himself “Minister of War”—is an evangelical fanatic obsessed with hyper-masculinity. Since the election of Trump II, these figures have ramped up threats, provocations, and illegal operations: annexationist claims regarding Canada and Greenland, the abduction of Venezuelan President Maduro, an energy stranglehold and threats of military intervention against Cuba, total support for the Zionist genocide in Palestine, and—of course—the assassinations of Iranian leaders, followed by massive bombing campaigns against Iran.
The war on Iran itself paves the way for war against China by seeking to weaken it economically. And naturally, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea remains a target for the United States. Back in 2017 at the UN, Trump threatened to “totally destroy North Korea,” just as he now boasts of wanting to “send Iran back to the Stone Age.” Nine years later, it is clear that if the Taiwan issue were to escalate into a major conflict, Korea would not be spared.
Many believe that imperialism would never dare trigger a nuclear war. At the PRCF, however, we believe that imperialism has entered an “exterminist” phase: it would prefer the end of humanity to its own definitive defeat.
That is why resisting the demonization of the DPRK, China, Russia (against whom the United States is sending its Ukrainian proxies, and has prevailed upon its European Union lackeys to prepare for a “high-intensity conflict” to destroy it), Iran, the Palestinians, and socialist Cuba is not merely a fight for peace: it is a fight for life on Earth!
Imperialism is in deep trouble. Ukraine’s entry into NATO is blocked. Iran is holding firm. China is standing up to Uncle Sam. The DPRK has yielded nothing. The Palestinian people remain standing amidst the ruins, and anger against Netanyahu is mounting in Israel. The Cuban Revolution endures despite the terrible conditions imposed upon it. All these confrontations are linked: if imperialism prevails on one front, conditions will worsen for all those resisting it elsewhere.
That is why we say: Cuba, Gaza—one struggle! From the Donbas to Beijing, from Tehran to Pyongyang: internationalist class solidarity against exterminist imperialism!

Большое спасибо за ваше приглашение и за организацию этой встречи в то время, когда американский империализм и его союзники вновь вступают на путь мировой войны — войны, которая может уничтожить всю жизнь на Земле.
По словам американского офицера Конрада Крейна, 73 года назад ВВС США «обрушили страшные разрушения на всю Северную Корею. Оценка ущерба от бомбардировок на момент перемирия показала, что из 22 крупных городов страны 18 были разрушены как минимум наполовину». Генерал ВВС Кёртис Лемей, в свою очередь, заявил: «Мы сожгли все города в Северной Корее, равно как и в Южной Корее».
Однако этой разрушительной ярости, столь характерной для Соединённых Штатов, было недостаточно в глазах печально известного генерала Макартура, главнокомандующего империалистическими войсками в ходе конфликта. В тексте, опубликованном после его смерти, он хвастался тем, что разработал план, позволяющий выиграть войну за десять дней: «Я бы сбросил около тридцати атомных бомб, нанеся массированный удар вдоль границы с Маньчжурией». Его преемник во время войны, генерал Риджуэй, пошёл ещё дальше, потребовав 38 атомных бомб.
К счастью, политики, руководившие тогда Соединёнными Штатами, отказались от этого, поскольку прекрасно понимали, что последствия такого ядерного удара были бы неисчислимы. Однако крайне тревожно, что такие истребители, как Макартур и Риджуэй, могли занимать столь ответственные посты в военном аппарате своей страны.
И что можно сказать о нынешних политических лидерах США? Трамп — грубый невежда, страдающий, как известно, слабоумием. Его министр обороны Пит Хегсет, провозгласивший себя «военным министром», является фанатичным евангелистом и приверженцем гипермаскулинности. С момента избрания Трампа II эти деятели множат угрозы, провокации и незаконные операции: аннексионистские притязания на Канаду и Гренландию, похищение президента Венесуэлы Мадуро, энергетическое удушение и угрозы военного вмешательства против Кубы, полная поддержка сионистского геноцида в Палестине и, разумеется, убийства иранских лидеров, за которыми последовали массированные бомбардировки Ирана.
Война против Ирана сама по себе подготавливает почву для войны против Китая, стремясь ослабить его экономически. И, конечно же, Корейская Народно-Демократическая Республика остаётся целью для Соединённых Штатов. В 2017 году в ООН Трамп уже угрожал «полностью уничтожить Северную Корею», точно так же, как сегодня он хвастается желанием «отбросить Иран в каменный век». Девять лет спустя очевидно, что если вопрос Тайваня перерастёт в крупный конфликт, Корея не будет пощажена.
Многие считают, что империализм никогда не осмелится развязать ядерную войну. В PRCF мы, напротив, полагаем, что империализм вступил в экстерминистскую фазу: он предпочтёт гибель человечества своему окончательному поражению.
Именно поэтому сопротивление демонизации КНДР, Китая, России (против которой США направляют своих украинских прокси и добились от своих приспешников из Европейского Союза подготовки «конфликта высокой интенсивности» для её уничтожения), Ирана, палестинцев и социалистической Кубы — это не просто борьба за мир; это борьба за жизнь на Земле!
Империализм находится в глубоком кризисе. Вступление Украины в НАТО заблокировано. Иран сопротивляется. Китай даёт отпор дяде Сэму. КНДР не уступила ни на йоту. Палестинский народ остаётся на ногах среди руин, а гнев против Нетаньяху нарастает в Израиле. Кубинская революция продолжается, несмотря на тяжёлые условия, в которые она поставлена. Все эти противостояния взаимосвязаны: если империализм одержит верх на одном участке фронта, условия ухудшатся для всех, кто сопротивляется ему на других направлениях.
Вот почему мы говорим: Куба, Газа — одна борьба! От Донбасса до Пекина, от Тегерана до Пхеньяна — интернациональная классовая солидарность против экстерминистского империализма!

Merci beaucoup pour votre invitation et pour l’organisation de cette rencontre alors que l’impérialisme étasunien est ses alliés marchent une fois de plus à la guerre mondiale, alors qu’elle pourrait anéantir toute vie sur terre.
Selon l’officier étasunien Conrad Crane, il y a 73 ans, l’US Air force « provoqua une destruction terrible dans toute la Corée du Nord. L’évaluation à l’armistice des dégâts provoqués par les bombardements révéla que sur les 22 villes principales du pays, 18 avaient été au moins à moitié anéanties. » Le général d’aviation Curtis LeMay déclara quant à lui : « Nous avons incendié toutes les villes en Corée du Nord de même qu’en Corée du Sud ».
Cette rage destructrice, caractéristique des Etats-Unis, était pourtant insuffisante aux yeux du fameux général MacArthur, commandant en chef des troupes impérialistes pendant le conflit. Dans un texte paru après sa mort, il se vantait en effet d’avoir conçu un plan permettant de remporter la guerre en dix jours : « J’aurais largué une trentaine de bombes atomiques en mettant le paquet le long de la frontière avec la Mandchourie. » Son successeur pendant la guerre, le général Ridgway, alla plus loin, en réclamant 38 bombes atomiques.
Fort heureusement, les hommes politiques qui dirigeaient alors les Etats-Unis refusèrent, car ils comprenaient bien que les conséquences d’une telle attaque nucléaire étaient incalculables. Cependant, il est très inquiétant que des exterminateurs comme MacArthur et Ridgway aient pu avoir de telles responsabilités dans leur appareil militaire.
Par ailleurs, que dire des actuels dirigeants politiques étasuniens ? Trump est une brute grossière, notoirement atteint de démence. Son secrétaire à la défense Pete Hegseth, qui s’est autoproclamé « ministre de la guerre », est un fanatique évangéliste et viriliste. Depuis l’élection de Trump II, ces personnages multiplient les menaces, les provocations et les opérations illégales : revendications annexionnistes contre le Canada et le Groenland, enlèvement du président vénézuélien Maduro, étranglement énergétique et menace d’intervention militaire contre Cuba, soutien total au génocide sioniste en Palestine, et bien sûr, assassinats des dirigeants iraniens, suivis de bombardements massifs sur l’Iran.
La guerre d’Iran elle-même prépare la guerre contre la Chine, en cherchant à l’affaiblir économiquement. Et bien entendu, la République populaire et démocratique de Corée demeure une cible pour les Etats-Unis. En 2017, à l’ONU, Trump menaçait déjà de « détruire totalement la Corée du nord », comme il se vante de vouloir aujourd’hui « ramener l’Iran à l’âge de pierre ». Neuf ans plus tard, il est évident que, si la question de Taïwan devait déboucher sur un conflit majeur, la Corée ne serait pas épargnée.
Beaucoup pensent que jamais l’impérialisme n’osera déclencher une guerre nucléaire. Au PRCF, nous estimons au contraire que l’impérialisme est entré dans une phase exterministe : il préfèrerait la fin de l’humanité à sa propre défaite définitive.
C’est pourquoi résister à la diabolisation de la RPD Corée, de la Chine, de la Russie (contre qui les Etats-Unis envoient leurs supplétifs ukrainiens, et ont obtenu de leurs valets de l’Union européenne qu’ils préparent un « conflit de haute intensité » pour la détruire), de l’Iran, des Palestiniens, de Cuba socialiste, ce n’est pas seulement lutter pour la paix : c’est se battre pour la vie sur terre !
L’impérialisme est en grande difficulté. L’entrée de l’Ukraine dans l’OTAN est bloquée. L’Iran résiste. La Chine tient tête à l’Oncle Sam. La RPD Corée n’a toujours rien cédé. Le peuple palestinien reste debout au milieu des ruines, et la colère contre Netanyahou monte en Israël. La révolution cubaine continue malgré les terribles conditions qui lui sont faites. Tous ces affrontement son liés : si l’impérialisme l’emporte sur un point du front, les conditions empireront pour tous ceux qui lui résistent ailleurs.
C’est pourquoi nous disons : Cuba, Gaza, même combat ! Du Donbass à Pékin, de Téhéran à Pyongyang, solidarité internationaliste de classe contre l’impérialisme exterministe !
