“The Anti-imperialist Struggle Is Inseparable from the Struggle for Sovereignty”

Dear Comrades,
The Labour Party of Chile extends its fraternal, revolutionary, and internationalist greetings to the organizers and participants of the International Scientific Conference “The 73rd Anniversary of the Victory in the Korean War: Lessons of History and Resistance to U.S. Imperialism at the Present Stage.” We express our appreciation to the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG), the Russian Society for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the World Anti-imperialist Platform, the International Association of Peace Foundations (IAPF), and the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in the Russian Federation for making this important initiative possible.
As we commemorate another anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War, we pay tribute to the soldiers of the Korean People’s Army, the internationalist volunteers, and the heroic people of the DPRK, who confronted and defeated the military aggression led by U.S. imperialism and its allies. That victory constitutes one of the most significant defeats suffered by imperialism in the twentieth century and demonstrated that no military power can subjugate a people determined to defend their independence, sovereignty, and right to build their own future.
The historical experience of Korea remains fully relevant today. At a time when imperialism seeks to preserve its declining hegemony through wars, blockades, economic sanctions, destabilization operations, and propaganda campaigns against peoples defending their sovereignty, the resistance of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea represents an example of revolutionary steadfastness, national independence, and dignity in the face of the constant threats posed by international monopoly capitalism.
From Chile, we reaffirm our conviction that the anti-imperialist struggle is inseparable from the struggle for sovereignty. Imperialism constitutes the highest and most aggressive stage of capitalism, characterized by the domination of monopolies, finance capital, and the powers that seek to subjugate nations through economic exploitation and military violence. Therefore, the defense of national sovereignty also requires confronting the structures of dependent capitalism and advancing toward a society founded upon social justice, economic planning, and the power of the working class.
The peoples of the world face a common enemy. The aggression against the DPRK forms part of the same imperialist policy that has spread wars, coups d’état, criminal blockades, and economic plunder throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. In the face of this offensive, the response must be greater unity among revolutionary forces, national liberation movements, and all organizations committed to building an international order based on the self-determination of peoples and the end of imperialist domination.
We especially welcome the strengthening of international cooperation among anti-imperialist organizations and express our solidarity with the Korean people and the leadership of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in their steadfast defense of national independence, peace, and socialism.
The Labour Party of Chile reaffirms its commitment to continue strengthening the bonds of internationalist solidarity with all peoples resisting imperialist aggression and struggling for their emancipation. We are convinced that organization, political consciousness, and the unity of revolutionary forces will make it possible to build a world free from exploitation, colonialism, and imperial domination.
Please accept our most fraternal revolutionary greetings and our best wishes for the complete success of this important international conference.

Рабочая партия Чили направляет братский, революционный и интернационалистский привет организаторам и участникам Международной научной конференции «73-я годовщина победы в Корейской войне: уроки истории и сопротивление американскому империализму на современном этапе». Мы выражаем нашу признательность Международной Группе солидарности с КНДР (МГС КНДР), Российскому обществу дружбы и культурного сотрудничества с КНДР, Всемирной антиимпериалистической платформе (ВАП), Международной ассоциации фондов мира (МАФМ) и Посольству Корейской Народно-Демократической Республики в Российской Федерации за возможность проведения столь значимой инициативы.
В день нового юбилея победы корейского народа в Отечественной освободительной войне мы отдаём дань уважения бойцам Корейской народной армии, интернациональным добровольцам и героическому народу КНДР, которые встретили и разгромили военную агрессию, возглавляемую американским империализмом и его союзниками. Эта победа стала одним из самых сокрушительных поражений, понесённых империализмом в XX веке, и доказала, что никакая военная мощь не способна сломить народ, решивший защищать свою независимость, суверенитет и право строить собственную судьбу.
Исторический опыт Кореи сохраняет свою полную актуальность и поныне. Сегодня, когда империализм пытается удержать свою загнивающую гегемонию посредством войн, блокад, экономических санкций, операций по дестабилизации и пропагандистских кампаний против народов, отстаивающих свой суверенитет, сопротивление Корейской Народно-Демократической Республики служит примером революционной твёрдости, национальной независимости и достоинства перед лицом постоянных угроз со стороны международного монополистического капитала.
Из Чили мы вновь подтверждаем нашу убеждённость в том, что антиимпериалистическая борьба неотделима от борьбы за суверенитет. Империализм представляет собой высшую и наиболее агрессивную стадию капитализма, характеризующуюся господством монополий, финансового капитала и держав, стремящихся подчинить нации посредством экономической эксплуатации и военного насилия. Именно поэтому защита национального суверенитета требует также борьбы против структур зависимого капитализма и движения вперёд к обществу, основанному на социальной справедливости, экономическом планировании и власти трудящихся.
Народы всего мира сталкиваются с общим врагом. Агрессия против КНДР является частью той же империалистической политики, которая принесла войны, государственные перевороты, преступные блокады и экономическое разграбление в Азию, Африку, Латинскую Америку и на Ближний Восток. Перед лицом этого наступления ответом должна стать большая сплочённость революционных сил, национально-освободительных движений и всех организаций, стремящихся к построению международного порядка, основанного на самоопределении народов и прекращении империалистического господства.
Мы особо приветствуем укрепление международного сотрудничества между антиимпериалистическими организациями и выражаем нашу солидарность с корейским народом и руководством Корейской Народно-Демократической Республики в их неустанной защите национальной независимости, мира и социализма.
Рабочая партия Чили подтверждает свою приверженность дальнейшему укреплению связей интернационалистской солидарности со всеми народами, которые противостоят империалистической агрессии и борются за своё освобождение. Мы убеждены, что организация, политическое сознание и единство революционных сил позволят проложить путь к миру, свободному от эксплуатации, колониализма и империалистического господства.

El Partido del Trabajo de Chile envía un fraternal, revolucionario e internacionalista saludo a los organizadores y participantes de la Conferencia Científica Internacional “73.º aniversario de la victoria en la Guerra de Corea: Lecciones de la historia y resistencia al imperialismo estadounidense en la etapa actual”, expresando nuestro reconocimiento al Grupo de Solidaridad Internacional con la RPDC (DPRK ISG), a la Sociedad Rusa de Amistad y Cooperación Cultural con la RPDC, a la Plataforma Mundial Antiimperialista (WAP), a la Asociación Internacional de Fundaciones por la Paz (IAPF) y a la Embajada de la República Popular Democrática de Corea en la Federación Rusa por hacer posible esta importante iniciativa.
Al conmemorarse un nuevo aniversario de la victoria del pueblo coreano en la Guerra de Liberación de la Patria, rendimos homenaje a los combatientes del Ejército Popular de Corea, a los voluntarios internacionalistas y al heroico pueblo de la RPDC, quienes enfrentaron y derrotaron la agresión militar encabezada por el imperialismo estadounidense y sus aliados. Aquella victoria constituye una de las más trascendentales derrotas sufridas por el imperialismo en el siglo XX y demostró que ningún poder militar puede doblegar a un pueblo decidido a defender su independencia, su soberanía y su derecho a construir su propio destino.
La experiencia histórica de Corea conserva plena vigencia. Hoy, cuando el imperialismo intenta mantener su decadente hegemonía mediante guerras, bloqueos, sanciones económicas, operaciones de desestabilización y campañas de propaganda contra los pueblos que defienden su soberanía, la resistencia de la República Popular Democrática de Corea representa un ejemplo de firmeza revolucionaria, independencia nacional y dignidad frente a las amenazas permanentes del capitalismo monopolista internacional.
Desde Chile reafirmamos nuestra convicción de que la lucha antiimperialista es inseparable de la lucha por la Soberanía. El imperialismo no constituye la fase superior y más agresiva del capitalismo, caracterizada por la dominación de los monopolios, el capital financiero y las potencias que buscan someter a las naciones mediante la explotación económica y la violencia militar. Por ello, la defensa de la soberanía nacional exige también combatir las estructuras del capitalismo dependiente y avanzar hacia una sociedad fundada en la justicia social, la planificación económica y el poder de los trabajadores.
Los pueblos del mundo enfrentamos un enemigo común. La agresión contra la RPDC forma parte de la misma política imperialista que ha sembrado guerras, golpes de Estado, bloqueos criminales y saqueo económico en Asia, África, América Latina y Oriente Medio. Frente a estaofensiva, la respuesta debe ser una mayor unidad de las fuerzas revolucionarias, de los movimientos de liberación nacional y de todas las organizaciones comprometidas con la construcción de un orden internacional basado en la autodeterminación de los pueblos y el fin de la dominación imperialista.
Saludamos especialmente el fortalecimiento de la cooperación internacional entre las organizaciones antiimperialistas y expresamos nuestra solidaridad con el pueblo coreano y con la dirección de la República Popular Democrática de Corea en su permanente defensa de la independencia nacional, la paz y el socialismo.
El Partido del Trabajo de Chile reafirma su compromiso de continuar fortaleciendo los vínculos de solidaridad internacionalista con todos los pueblos que resisten la agresión imperialista y luchan por su emancipación. Estamos convencidos de que la organización, la conciencia política y la unidad de las fuerzas revolucionarias permitirán abrir paso a un mundo libre de explotación, colonialismo y dominación imperial.
Reciban nuestro más fraternal saludo revolucionario y nuestros mejores deseos para el pleno éxito de esta importante conferencia internacional.
