Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson’s Criticism – NATO is Spreading its Tentacles to Asia-Pacific
The spokesperson for Chinese Foreign Ministry, at the recent regular press conference, made reference to NATO’s repeated statements that it does not seek geographical conflict by opening its liaison office in Japan, and continued as follows:
The Asia-Pacific region does not fall into the geographical category of North Atlantic, nor does it require an Asia-Pacific version of “NATO”.
NATO, however, is spreading its tentacles to the Asia-Pacific region, strengthening ties with the countries in the region, interfering in the regional affairs and instigating confrontation between the camps, with highly dubious purposes.
Such moves have already called for high vigilance of the international community and that of the countries in the Asia-Pacific region in particular.
I hope that every responsible party would not undermine peace and stability of the region in pursuance of the so-called geopolitical interests.
The spokesperson concluded by strongly demanding that Japan, with honesty, learn lessons from the history, keep following the track of peaceful development and refrain from disrupting trust between countries and from undermining peace and stability of the region.

El portavoz del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de China critica que la OTAN está extendiendo sus tentáculos a la región de Asia-Pacífico
Hace poco, en una rueda de prensa regular, el portavoz del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de China expresó que la OTAN ya anunció en varias ocasiones que no persigue el choque geográfico con relación al establecimiento de su oficina de enlace en Japón, y señaló lo siguiente.
La región de Asia-Pacífico no pertenece a la categoría geográfica del Atlántico Norte y no demanda la creación de una “OTAN” de versión de Asia-Pacífico.
Pero, la OTAN extiende sus tentáculos a la región de Asia-Pacífico fortaleciendo incesantemente las relaciones con los países de la región de Asia-Pacífico e instiga la confrontación entre los campos interviniendo en los asuntos regionales. No sé cuál es el objetivo de la OTAN.
Esto provocó altas vigilancias de la sociedad internacional, sobre todo, de los países de la región de Asia-Pacífico.
Deseo que todas las partes responsables no destruyan la paz y estabilidad de la región para perseguir los llamados intereses geopolíticos.
Por último, el portavoz exigió enérgicamente a Japón a buscar con sinceridad las lecciones de la historia, mantener el avance por el camino del desarrollo pacífico y no hacer las cosas dirigidas a destruir la confianza entre los países regionales y perjudicar la paz y estabilidad de la región.

Представитель МИД Китая раскритиковал, что НАТО протягивает свои щупальца в АТР
Недавно представитель МИД Китая на брифинге отметил, что в связи с намерением НАТО открыть офис связи в Японии Североатлантический альянс несколько раз публично объявлял, что не преследует географический конфликт, и упомянул о нижеследующем.
АТР не относится к географической категории Северной Атлантики и не требует создания «азиатско-тихоокеанского НАТО».
Однако НАТО, наоборот, непрерывно укрепляя отношения со странами в АТР, протягивает свои щупальца в этот регион, вмешивается в региональный вопрос и подстрекает к противоборству между лагерями. Мы не можем догадаться, в чем его цель.
Это уже вызвало высокую настороженность международного сообщества, в частности, стран АТР.
Надеемся на то, чтобы ответственные стороны не нарушили мир и стабильность в регионе с целью погони за т.н. геополитическими интересами.
В заключение, представитель настоятельно потребовал от Японии добросовестно извлекать исторический урок, придерживаться пути мирного развития, не подрывать доверие между странами в регионе и не причинять вред региональному миру и стабильности.

中国外交部发言人谴责北约执着东进亚太
前不久，中国外交部发言人在例行记者招待会上就北约在日本开设联络处一事指出，北约多次公开表示，不寻求地理突破。
他表示，亚太地区不是北大西洋地理范畴，也不需要建立亚太版“北约”，但北约却不断强化同亚太国家关系，执着东进亚太、干预地区事务、挑动阵营对抗，到底意欲何为？
这已经引起国际社会特别是亚太地区国家的高度警觉。
希望有关方面不要因谋求所谓地缘利益而破坏地区和平稳定。
我们敦促日方认真汲取历史教训，坚持走和平发展道路，不要做破坏地区国家间相互信任、损害地区和平稳定的事。（完）
