From China Military
On June 9, the Chief of Staff of the Joint Staff Department of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC) General Liu Zhenli, also a member of the CMC, held video talks with First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General Valery Gerasimov, also Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, on June 9, according to a written statement released by the Chinese Ministry of National Defense.
They exchanged views on implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state and on deepening mil-to-mil cooperation. Both sides confirmed that Russia will be invited to participate in the “Northern • Joint 2023” exercise organized by China.
