On the 12th, a meeting between the Basque progressive organization Jardun, the World Anti-imperialist Platform, and the People’s Democracy Party in the Basque Country.
The head of Jardun said, “The Basque region is straddling the border bewteen Spain and France, so we have to fight against both imperialisms. The Basque region was dominated by foreign powers for a long time, Our organization is fighting in seven Basque provinces that fights for workers’ and people’s rights, defends itself against unjustified police violence, educates and organizes workers and people through cultural events, and establishes links with universities,”
Jardun expressed its sincere solidarity with the PDP (People’s Democracy Party), which is facing a fascist crackdown by the South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol government. The members of Jardun strongly condemned the pro-US fascist Yoon Suk-yeol for his unjustified crackdown and expressed their support and solidarity with the PDP.
The international solidarity in support of the PDP and the joint struggle against imperialism continues.
